We hadn't eaten at the Crown for a while as it wasn't as good as other restaurants in the area, but wanted to try it after hearing new management had taken over. We're very glad we did as it's now brilliant - delicious high quality food from start to finish. The venison in particular was excellent. Service was warm and friendly too, and it's a lovely pub to eat in. We will definitely be back!

Booked my birthday party for 15 people. We ordered the Gold Buffet. The food was outstanding and plentiful. The whole party remarked on the great food. The kitchen had clearly worked hard and really delivered for me. As always the staff were really friendly and helpful. Thank you for making the day special for me, my friends an family

.... eye wateringly expensive markup on wine. Cheapest bottle was £24. Our table was inches from several arses stood at the bar. However service was pleasant although no mention was made of the specials which we spotted on the beam after we'd ordered. Food was good and fairly reasonable. But the wine prices.......?
Hands down the best cheese ploughman’s I’ve had. Really friendly staff and idyllic village location. They kindly refroze my ice packs and allowed our school students to refill their water bottles and use the loo on their camping expedition. We’ll be back next year.

Great service from Jules and her team from the moment we arrived. Great menu - had trouble choosing food as there were so many tasty dishes catering to all tastes, from pub classics to fresh fish, on a huge and seasonal menu. Excellent desserts and coffee too, with a pleasant surprise when the bill arrived. Very good value with a personal touch. The perfect country pub for foodies.

Living close by, we use the Crown regularly for family get togethers, a quiet meal for two, birthdays, etc. The food is amazing, the staff are very welcoming and friendly.Dog friendly, and the local cricket pitch is just behind the pub, so you can watch the cricket with a nice cold drink in the summer.

Really lovely pub set in the lovely countryside with a cricket field next door. We sat out the front of the pub for a nice cool drink in the sunshine and then ate from the very inviting menu. I had the superfood sale with grilled chicken which didn’t disappoint .. would thoroughly recommend trying the food when you visit. Staff were extremely lovely and very helpful.
