What a gem! We booked Sunday lunch, family of 4 with a dog. The pub was cosy and the staff were friendly. We walked in and saw a big smile straight away and was taken to our table. The food was delicious, generous portions and we didn't wait long at all. Everything was cooked perfectly, a perfect roast dinner when you just don't want to cook. We all left feeling stuffed and content. Will absolutely be returning. Great value for money too!

Yesterday we held our late fathers wake at The Holmbush Inn, Faygate. I cannot thank and praise Ali & Mark and their staff for looking after us so well. We were a large group, approximately 90 people and they went above and beyond to make sure we could celebrate Dads life with our friends and family with no worries at all. The buffet lunch was superb and guests all commented on how tasty and beautifully presented all the food was. The service was second to none both from the Bar and the Kitchen. They had even organised the Village Hall Car park to be open to ensure all guests cars could be parked safely. Ali & Mark we cannot thank you enough, you made a very tough day easier for us all.

Honestly blown away by this place. Has become our favourite place to dine. I have never been somewhere so local that takes such pride in their dishes, each meal has been perfection and we will be back to try the others. Staff are so friendly and can't do enough to make sure you have a good experience. Hats off to you! Thank you

The main reason for our review is the lack of enthusiasm of the waiters and the toast itself which was ok, tasted ok, but was quite average. The person behind the bar just pointed to our booked table with no lt much greeting. The food looked average on the plat, tasted ok but didn’t impress. There are two parts of the restaurants, one is around the bar at window level and is nicer than a smaller area which has no windows, and is lower so very dark.

The staff were really engaging and friendly, taking the time to speak to us and really added to the experience.Although it was very busy when we went on a Saturday afternoon, I'm told that it is normally not as packed. It might be worth calling ahead at busy times to check availability this

Pretty busy considering it was Tuesday but they accommodated us despite not having booked. Good choice of menus, light, standard mains and specials. Hot well cooked full plates. Attentive and very friendly staff.

We love coming to The Holmbush, the food really lovely and welcome from Ali and her team is fab. Its a great spot for lunch and dinner, we just wish there was a decent path / walk from Kilnwood Vale rather than having to get in the car, but this has not stopped us visiting
