My Mum visited for her birthday last for dinner and she wanted to stay thanks to the lady running it last night. How professional and friendly she was to everyone. She had a great evening out. Thank you ?

My family and I have been going here many times for various occasions and have always found the food and service excellent. Needless to say, we were excited when we were gifted vouchers for a 2 course meal by some relatives which we used last night. When I booked a few days prior in person, the lady behind the front desk was very friendly and helpful to ensure the vouchers would be acknowledged. On the night we were greeted by another friendly lady who showed us to our table and we were served by a helpful and friendly Ukrainian server who looked after us really well. The food is always good, particularly the cheese souffle. As a vegetarian I have previously enjoyed the cauliflower steak. However, I think it's sadly no longer on the menu, but there are still plenty of options on the menu regardless of dietary requirements and the desserts are very indulgent. Thanks for another lovely evening.

We had the best service , our waitress was so helpful and friendly , also going above and beyond to accommodate my daughters allergy. The food was wonderful , drinks were flowing the service didn’t stop from start to finish. The atmosphere and decorations were perfect. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous meal and evening at the Red Deer last night for our staff Christmas meal. Welcomed and sat at our table very quickly. The Manager was very understanding when told 2 members had pulled out last minute due to illness. Our free glass of Prosecco was much appreciated. Each course of our meal arrived quickly and was hot and very tasty. The food overall was well cooked and presented beautifully presented. Mia, our lovely waitress, looked after us all evening and was friendly and efficient. The Christmas menu is a little more expensive maybe than others places locally but in this case you got what you paid for and we all enjoyed our meal. They also have a good choice of wine, with something to suit all tastes. The atmosphere was good, if a little noisy at times, but it is Christmas, the restaurant was full and everyone was having a good time so it wasn't a problem! This was our second year running for our Christmas meal at the Red Deer and we will probably return again!

The Red Deer continues to provide excellent friendly service coupled with a high standard of food. It has a comprehensive menu that caters for all tastes. However, the beef and ale pie using Tribute Ale will always be my favourite !

Went with friends waited for table to be ready then my food was cold when getting it and disappointed with my turkey meal ,once it arrived it was cold then microwaved to heat it the meal up .The meal was expensive for the quality But on the plus side the waitress were very good and friendly.

Excellent roast dinner, the beef was beautiful. First class service, which is so rare these days. Dawn was fabulous. Will visit again, soon I hope!

Visited restaurant 4 weeks ago and was kept waiting for a table although booked for over an hour. This was a result of the manager asking us to go into the bar and grab a drink whilst they prepared our table. When I questioned our long wait I was informed we were forgotten about and offered no more than a simple… sorry. Visited today to eat 10/12/13 with a pre booked table. And guess what, told to grab a drink and then the manager will come and get us when the table was ready. Spent £17.35 for half a lemonade and a large white wine. Waited for 50 minutes. Chased the manager again and guess what he’d forgotten about us again. I’ve spent hundreds of pounds in this restaurant but no more. Dreadful customer service

Visited this restaurant on 09 Dec 13 with family. Restaurant was busy but service and attendance by staff was excellent. Restaurant was clean and well decorated for Xmas. Orders were given to our waitress Annabell. Food arrived a little later and was very well presented, hot and delicious. I am Gluten Free but was not a problem for the Chef. Will definitely visit again.

My family and I had a wonderful time here for an experience voucher I received for a gift, the food was amazing and Auste & Annabelle were exceptionally attentive, especially with my wife's dietary requirements, and with our young children and in my mind, made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. We are very much looking forward to coming back here soon.
