The staff there are rude, leave you waiting for a long time and have alot of annomisty towards any people of colour who they either direct there aggression too or leave to serve last and give you appalling service. This was both evening service and breakfast with the female staff mainly. I generally felt like this was like a horrible place with attitudes stuck in time. The food itself - when you get it - is alright although what you get depends on who you are I'm not sure why I got these chips they weren't my preference. I would avoid this place and discourage any progressive enlightened people to do the same.

I'm not sure what happened this evening but many things were going wrong. The server Darcy was new to her job and whilst things happened around her she kept going and was doing her absolute best. Thank you Darcy. Don't let a bad night put you off!

Floors like an old night club and so sticky, don't order the orawb skewers as they add mushrooms so give u just 3 prawns so nothing like the picture which shows at least 5. Don't visit

We came for Boxing day and pre ordered from the Boxing day set menu. Items were missing from the meals - my partners steak was meant to be on a pastry base as pictured looking delicious on the menu - there was no pastry and frankly the plate looked a sloppy mess. My sons burger came without chips as stated to be included on the festive menu and my brothers turkey dinner had no yorkshire pudding. The "billionaires profiteroles" were just ordinary profiteroles with chocolate sauce. There were no Xmas crackers or nice tableware as expected when paying extra for a special festive meal. Then the bill was all wrong when it came. The poor waitress apologised about the food and sorted out the errors on the bill. I told her it wasn't her fault - surely the chefs should know what the festive meals include when ordered. On a plus the salmon meal was lovely and starters were fine. It was just disappointing as was meant to be a special occasion and the errors meant it was substandard to say the least.

In short the starter and pudding were good, but the main was not! I ordered from the Christmas menu. For my starter I had chicken goujons which were tasty, but you can't really go wrong with a bit of breaded chicken. For pudding I had the orange sundae which tasted good and I enjoyed it. However, the main meal was the bit I had been most looking forward to and it was disappointing. The roast potatoes were burnt and did not taste nice at all, the sprouts were so hard it was difficult to get the knife through them and the meal tasted as if it had been reheated in a microwave. It also seems a bit extreme that my friends had to pay extra if they wanted sauce to go on their burger!

Staff don't seem massively bothered, Matt behind the bar was just downright rude to the point where myself and others don't want to order a drink at the bar. Staying in the hotel next door for work, meal deal prepaid on the room, but half of the menu seems to have disappeared for the "festive menu" which we have to pay extra for. Ate out most nights and just paid for myself because it wasn't worth the hassle.

Great service from Shirley as always! We often come here for a business catch up and Shirley and the team are always very accommodating. Will be returning soon!

Ate in the attached pub as the restaurant was fully booked. Rather soulless and tired furnishings. Burger was ok , but not exceptional. Poor selection of beers. Certainly not a destination pub, despite its good location opposite the station.

3:45pm Tuesday- Cheesy chips ordered; got given fries that are harder than rock, but the cheese is melted so that's nice.- Service was incredibly quick, it's not a busy time- decent looking place, a standard dine-in pub setting but no effort in the food whatsoever

Went for Sunday lunch, very very disappointed. The meal came to us barely warm , the veg was not cooked and yorkshires cold in the middle. We complained and were offered a fresh dinner, this came back exactly the same! Cold and hard. We ate it as by this time we were hungry but complained. We were offered a free pudding and coffee. But I don't eat sweet puddings being type 2 diabetic. Very poor ! Chef obviously couldn't care less and they weren't even very busy!

I haven’t anything bad to say apart from the manager of this place is an absolute swine. He’s always incredibly rude and ignorant and makes you feel so unwelcome. I never leave reviews but felt it was warranted as this has happened on every visit. (And I’ve overheard a lot of guests and staff also sharing similar feelings towards him) The staff and ladies there are absolutely fab and I’m so sorry they work under such a horrible, self absorbed man. Needs training in communicating and welcoming guests.

Just wanted to thank Ingrid and Molly for the excellent service and experience we had so far! Definitely collect the points and everything is so worth it, we only had 1 experience where the food & the service weren’t as what we had previously however i will visit again in the future.
