SPOT ON .....Well done to all the staffWe had a wonderful meal after finishing another days work rebuilding our house in Warnham. The service was fast and the staff are very attentive. Also it is a great place just to have a wonderful pint of Real Ale, such as my favorite 'Doom Bar'.Keep up the good work, BTW the landlord I understand is Peter who has been there for a long time ....very amenable chap.Keep up the good work, this Pub is essential to the Village, Thank you all again.

This was my first time visiting The Sussex Oak and it did not disappoint. The pub is cosy and at this time of year has two lovely open fires burning, lending a lovely atmosphere. The service was courteous and friendly. There is an extensive menu and I was impressed with the vegetarian selection. This pub will become a regular weekend haunt for me.Vegetarian options: A very good vegetarian selection. Excellent Mac n cheese.

Sorry to have to write this, but our visit to your welcoming pub was spoilt in the dining room by old, rickety, uncomfortable chairs and a sticky table, followed by a disappointing steak dish. The meat was tasty, but overdone - the cook obviously did not understand the term 'blue'. The mushrooms were certainly not cooked to order, but much older and were totally frizzled and tasteless whilst the peas were hard and of an inferior kind. All in all, not good value.

Really disappointing had a family meal. Took forever to come out, veg was nicely done but only 2 roast potatoes and beef was unusually grey and tough.

The Sussex Oak has a lovely warm atmosphere and the tables are always tidy and clean. Matt is a wonderful asset to the pub and has even won over our extremely nervous dog with his friendly nature and offers of biscuits. It really makes a difference to see team members who go above and beyond.

We planned a surprise engagement party and asked for a buffet and the space to have family and friends over. Matt was superb! He not only thought about how to reserve the tables without giving the surprise away, he was attentive and responsive throughout the event. Matt and Louie prepared a wonderful buffet, our friends and family were well catered for and the engagement party went off extremely well. I would thoroughly recommend the Sussex Oak for a family friendly meal or event and thank Louie and particularly Matt for a fabulous evening.

Dropped in whilst on a journey. Used to live to live in Horsham in 1970's. Standards are just as good if not better, My wife and I had excellent meal served by Tom. Good portions and quickly served nice and hot. Will certainly make a detour to eat again at The Sussex. Very good value for money. Thanks

Food good but very poor service - surley waitor who was gruff and uncommunicative. Threw plates onto table and walked away,. All the lettuce in starters and mains was gritty. Young lady took over who was much better and friendly.

Great to bring friends to the Sussex oak for reliably great home cooked food, and the service was brilliant looked after by Matt who looked after our group superbly despite being extremely busy! Our friends commented how great the service was so thanks!

We held a retirement lunch at the Sussex Oak. There were around 70 people and we opted for a sandwich lunch. The food was excellent and Peter and his team were incredibly helpful and attentive. We had teas & coffees throughout which was great as people were driving and didn't necessarily want cold drinks. We would certainly recommend this location
