Great unique venue, outside but with enough cover to make you feel your inside. Simple but , Great food, take your own reusable cup to support with there eco credentials. A small bar if you fancy a ? instead of a cuppa. Family/ dog friendly.

Lovely cafe, excellent coffee, and my bacon sandwich was delicious.

My first outing here was not the best, but I will give it another go at some point.

I normally like going to The Crate. It’s a great cycling stop. Unfortunately, today, the coffee was absolutely awful. The first attempt looked and tasted like brown water. A second attempt wasn’t much better. I will certainly go back but they need to do something about their choice of coffee or the coffee machine. Something is definitely wrong.

After ordering we waited for ages for the food to arrive. When it did mine was barely warm and my husbands was a little warmer but not hot. I am not sure if their was a delay in bringing our food out and it had gone cold. I did return mine and said it was barely warm. I got a gruff ill sort it. The lady came out 10 minutes later, apologetic with a brand new dish. It even had cheese on this time. Love the place but in future will only order cake.

Cycled to The Crate from Fernhurst for coffee following recommendations from a number of cycling friends. Lovely choice of cakes plus some menu items, and awesomely good sausage rolls which they warm.

Covered cafe . Recycled fixtures and fittings, corrugated iron walls and roofs. Bar and cafe. Great food and drinks. Parking right outside. Dog friendly. Close to Co-op shop.

Great atmosphere and service. Often busy but always continue to provide great service. Varied menu and made fresh daily. Can accommodate dietary requirements easily too. Very dog friendly.Parking: They have their own car park which is relatively small for how popular they are but you can always park next door (co op car park) which is about 30m away from the cafe

What a find! Was looking for a coffee stop on our journey to Christchurch and were not disappointed. Didn't have any food, but it looked absolutely delicious. Will definitely be stopping here again.

I had a wonderful experience at The Crate in Bosham. My wife and I arrived only 20 minutes or so after the morning opening time and the atmosphere was already buzzing; this place is clearly very popular. When the food arrived it was clear to understand why. Hands down, it was the best cafe style food I've had. Veggie wrap for me and advocado and eggs on toast for my wife. Excellent coffee, and friendly service to boot, what more could one ask for!

Beautiful little spot for lunch.Reasonably priced, I had a roasted ciabata which was lovely. The ice tea was also good. They had plenty of gluten free options too.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free cake options

First time visit and really liked the place. I had a bacon bap and a coffee - lovely! Great service also.

I had coffees and a breakfast wrap at The Crate and found the staff to be friendly, efficient and helpful. The coffee was great and the wrap was excellent, packed with top notch stuff. A serviette is definitely required, however. The surroundings are eclectic with some seats having views across a horse paddock, the food and drink supplied in takeaway containers, so the experience is nearer the rustic end of the silver-service/picnic continuum. Thoroughly enjoyable and spent three hours there in a flash. Parking is free, too.Parking: There's parking immediately outside The Crate and in the larger car park behind the Co-op.

We came here a few weeks ago and it was lovely, in a strange area but when you get to it it’s a really great little cafe. Food was lush, decor and view was great and the service was brilliant. Decently priced as well.

A must visit in the area, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Lots of different food and drink options, brunch (usually to have the breakfast wrap!) is a great time to go. Very useful for a cycling stop too.
