Only had tea/coffee. Quickly served, & acceptable quality.Very noisy, no provision of maybe soft furnishings to absorb some of the noise . Pity, because building & interior is a real gemParking: Disabled, blue badge still have to pay

Great food and lovely staff! Scrambled eggs cooked to perfection will go back hopefully when the sun is out. Took my dog ? Hercules in and he was offered water, sorry about the loud bark as we were leaving I think he loved it so much he didn't want to leave!

So quaint, staff are amazing and really friendly, breakfast cooked ? to perfection, accepted my dog ? Hercules with a bowl of water, means a lot to an owner.

Lovely food, good portions and reasonable pricing. The service is good, polite, and attentive. No reservations about the restaurant. However car parking is a bit of a trial (the app doesn't work) and at busy times to can find yourself paying for parking and the restaurant being full.

Warning: don’t trust published opening hours. Often close 15min early and won’t even serve you a cup of tea or coffee as they want to go home.

I went to the hummingbird expecting a great service as the reviews suggest but instead I was turned away with my group of 2 other people and instead was sent to the other cafe near by. To the man on the door thank you for ruining our day we drove all the way from Portsmouth just to be turned away. I will never return to this establishment again.

Incredibly rude and disappointing, we have stopped before for a coffee, paid to park, popped in , empty tables but were told as we only wanted a coffee that we could not get a table...as people were coming to eat, however we can pop in other times, that is no way to treat people, we said it was just a quick coffee, we were told no. How awful I'd understand if it was the last table or even if there was anybody else behind us. We will not return.

Had been there before so knew the food would be good. Pleasant cafe with a good view of the aircraft. The person serving us was rather abrupt.

Simple straightforward fare served by lovely people in a 1950s chic building with the bonus of watching light aircraft and helicopters buzz around.Particularly good when the Eastbourne airshow is on as Spitfires and Hurricanes fly from there, but can get very busy on those days.If you just want a coffee, go between 10 and 11, or after 3.

Great for the kids because they could see the plains. Great for adults because the food was god and very generous ? ? the staff very friendly.

This is a great place to come for breakfast, lunch or just to have a coffee and a cake. The welcome is always warm, the team are attentive and very friendly and the restaurant is very well run, much credit to the manager and their hard working team. The menu offers plenty of choice and you are guaranteed to enjoy whatever you order. This Saturday it was particularly busy, but it was worth the wait, and you never have to queue for too long. A relaxed and informal environment, and certainly one of the best places to eat in the area with outstanding views and genuinely lovely people - a big “thank you” for enhancing our experience each time.
