the best place for food that i love in Sussex. freshly cooked... excellent service, well trained and always polite. maybe dearer than some places, but you get fresh hot food and I love it.

I think it was my first time at Wimpy, and the Waitress - Meg - was soooooo nice and helpful! Burger was delicious, great hot chocolate, and I ordered dessert for later! I'll definitely come back here again soon!

Love bringing the kids here on a Friday after school. Always lovely service and tasty food.Dietary restrictions: My son is super fussy and they accommodate.Parking: Just opposite there’s a road with paid parking we usually find a space.Kid-friendliness: They provide balloons & have a game we can play whilst waiting on the food.

I was served by a nice lady called Megan who was really helpful and efficient. The bean burger and chips were good ?. I recommend this Wimpy.

Delicious, had wimpy in a roll, coffee was really nice, it was very quiet that day so relaxing.

We visited the Wimpy for the first time in 40 years as a trip down memory lane and weren't disappointed. A warm welcome as we entered. Friendly knowledgeable quick service on a quiet Monday lunchtime. Had double burgers, chips, onion rings and side of jalapenos. All hot and freshly cooked and value for money. Clean cutlery and crockery, spotless surroundings and tea in a teapot - love it.

Woke up after a heavy night craving a bender in a bun, as you do! So headed to Wimpy for breakfast. We were greated by an extremely miserable young lad who told us to sit where we liked. Once we sat down we were given a menu to share. After fighting over the menu for less than a minute, we were asked if we were ready to order. We asked for another menu and for some extra time!Eventually ordered our food. (Sausage, egg and hash brown muffins) with a bender on the side. Well.....not one to usually moan when offered sausage on a plate but my god did it disappoint! A dry, curly, over cooked hotdog sausage (£3.55 without the bun) was not what I had in mind when I skipped out of bed in anticipation for my bender. See pic attached!Thankfully when asked if everything was ok, we sent the sausage back and got a refund on it. The rest of the food was pretty greasy and the service was pretty depressing. All in all quite a disappointing experience and certainly won't be rushing back.

£12.50 for a coke and a cheese quarter pounder and chips is far too expensive and, no, that sort of price does not reflect "the excellent service". It should be excellent service no matter what price.

People of colour are not welcome, if you enter they will overcook your food and be rude to you so you’d never return. Just go somewhere else.18,90£ for a Quorn burger meal, 6 onion rings and a hash brown. THE BURGER was overcooked, dry and literally DARK BROWN and so crunchy it was inedible for me because my teeth are not this strong. The same way with the hash brown and the onion rings- dry, overcooked and too crunchy its like you’d eat almonds. The fries from the meal literally tasted like unsalted warm cardboard. For the drink I said to the lady, loud and clear, NO ICE PLEASE and guess what ? She did add ice in it, gave me the drink and made a weird facial expression to probably express how insecure and basic she is idk.The staff overall was very passive-aggressive and unfriendly towards me the cooking guy was giving me “the look” but then they had the completely opposite approach towards the white lady that entered the diner a minute after me. Few minutes after, a couple black boys entered and tried to order and I overheard one of the waiters saying “if I have to serve those two I quit” and then she made a gun sign with her hands mimicking shooting herself. I took my food and didn’t say anything because I refuse to teach people basic ethics, morals, kindness, acceptance etc. I gave my food to the homeless guy that was begging in front of Tesco’s, few steps away from Wimpy. Just do yourself a favour if you are a person of colour and leave this place for the Caucasians.

Served chips that I did not order with my burger. They did offer to take away.

Had not had a wimpy for 20 years, very excited to try, the food did not let down, was lovely and just as remembered, the staff had a nightmare and got our order wrong three times, but dealt with it well and professionally and in the end had a nice time, would definitely go back (hopefully not have such bad luck with order)
