Fabulous place spacious, light and clean, the new menu looks amazing, the staff were smiley and helpful, the loos were spotless, a nice outdoor area, but it's a little too cold to be outside just

We visited on Sunday afternoon for lunch. The roast beef dinners were 10/10, the staff were lovely and the service (we didn’t pre book) was both excellent and quick. We will definitely visit again ?

We were welcomed when we came in and the menu looked good. Service was good to start with then tailed off. We were disappointed with the children's meal of overcooked crispy chicken. The adult salad dish was good. The other child's macaroni portion seemed quite small. The lasagne was ok but nothing special. Once the main course was served no one came back to see us or to ask if desserts were required. Perhaps some extra training in customer service or maybe attention to detail from the kitchen when preparing food for 3 and 7 year olds would be a help.

We were staying nearby so came here after a recommendation from someone else staying in our hotel. The atmosphere is lovely! Cosy and warm, service with a smile and family friendly (also dog friendly). The menu was great with plenty of choice, the kids menu was one of the best we’ve seen. The food itself was a little bit hit and miss. My partners burger was very ‘bog standard’ but my lasagne was the best lasagne I’ve ever had. Something went wrong with our little ones meal which didn’t come out until I chased it up so he did start kicking off seeing our meals on the table.Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back.Kid-friendliness: Great place for the kids

Soup x 2 served cold ,when replaced came back without spoons. Main meals (both ordered same dish)had seasonal vegetables listed on menu, when arrived only had 1carrot when I questioned this the server just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. 1 dessert fine other dessert had main ingredient missing, when we asked where are the raspberries? We were told we don't have any in the store, why was this not pointed out to us when ordering the Scottish traditional dessert from the Burns night menu that only has 3 ingredients " Raspberries, cream and whisky

Had to wait a very long time for service. Food was average. Our coffees were forgotten about, so we had to chase them

Visited as part of a large group. Granted, we pre-ordered and it was a Tuesday evening, but the food was great and the service exceptional. Thank you Halfway House, we will return, that's for sure!Vegetarian options: A variety of options.Parking: Several disabled spots too.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp access at the front.

Bit soulless in the bar.

12 people, pre booked. Not enough staff on, food took nearly an hour to arrive, on COLD plates. By the time last ones served, first ones were almost finished.Had to go looking for a waitress to order

Of the three West Yorkshire Chef & Brewers this is by far the best of them. The food was delicious, the service was great and the place is lovely.
