Today we chose to shop at Asda Castleford. Our experience was not the best. We had our list which included potatoes for roasting. We prefer King Edward’s couldn’t find any so we asked a colleagues. “We don’t sell them” was the brusque answer and no alternative. We then picked up potatoes marked on the display as Maris Piper, get them home not Maris piper but baking potatoes. Then looked for 4 pints red milk. None in stock. Did some more shopping. It was time to check out and what a shambles. A very limited number of aisles for the human touch so had to use a self services. No queue management went to a self check out but was cut up by another customer had to find another check out from within the check out area. Tried to use two that came free but again cut up by aggressive customers so stood until one came free in front of me and again was chastised for taking this one. My wife tried to use the Asda app to save money but it would not load in store. Eventually paid and left. Went for fuel and lo and behold no tissues to deal with leak on diesel handle. So got home had to scrub hands to get rid of smell. Asda you need to up your game, this is not the shopping experience I expect.

Click and collect what an absolute joke… cancelled order and will NEVER use Asda again..Letting Elderly disabled people wait in the cold for hours with no updates,, the managers need retraining on organisation and customer service skills absolutely appalling !!!

The cleanliness and quality appears to be on the decline. Product availability is poor.

I tend to avoid as I always get stuck in the car park when it's busy. There's only one entrance and exit that is next to the petrol station so cars queue all around the badly designed car park.

Order through click and collect, what an experience, never again 11 items not in stock and 26 substitutions, handed a lot back and was not all of them were added to my refund after I was reassured that they were, during the madness we packed our bags in the cold with about 20 other customers waiting after an hour wait, we just wanted to get our food home and didn't have time to check £280+ worth of food, so I went through it at home a lot of items not accounted for, so I have gone around 2 different supermarkets for the rest, I am another £164 down and not overly confident that I will be refunded for the products I didn't receive, not happy and highly stressed

Clearly, there's a new manager in charge; however, the staff appears less content, and the relocation of everything seems inconvenient, showing a lack of consideration for regular customers.

Appalling service. Staff tried to be helpful but clearly somethings going wrong. Express delivery order for 1pm at 6.40pm I turned up to store to find click and collect orders several hours behind and i had to join queue. When I finally decided to give up and cancel the delivery so I could shop what hadn't been picked it seems half the order hadn't even been picked. I will be taking it up with head office tomorrow

Loads of offers on. Went after school run and wasn't busy at all.

I ordered 170 pounds worth of shopping and they didn't even bring it and they also marked it as delivered I'm trying to get a refund and they won't even give me one Asda just scammed 170 pounds of me I recommend not buying from here it's a scam.

Only shop here if you like the self serve checkouts because the manager is making sure there are no staff on checkouts at certain times of the day and also if you like to guess at what your shopping will cost at the end because half the items in store are priced up wrong. Floor staff could easily manage stores as a team, much better than the actual managers seem to be able to. I used to enjoy shopping at this store but it's a shambles lately.

Gone down hill. Never enough staff on tills and I will not use self checkout. Not my job to scan my items. So many things miss priced too. Come on Asda get some more staff and open real checkouts and ditch the self checkout nonsense. Not like you are paying me to scan myself and your prices are ridiculous.

Mandy at the Kiosk and Simon at self checkouts were really friendly and helpful and efficient even on a very busy Saturday afternoon. Would like to see a bigger no alcohol section

Where have all the disabled shopping trolleys disappeared to? I shop once a week with my elderly mother and need to attach one to her wheelchair. The lack of these, (only 2 at best) is ridiculous, inparticularly on busy days, in comparison to rival smaller supermarkets who provide at least 6 for wheelchair users. Last week I had no option but to struggle with 2 shopping baskets whilst handling a wheelchair. Not good enough

Took half hour to get out of the carpark, during that time we saw 2 near miss crashes and people going mad beeping horns and shouting and bawling. Wished we had gone to Aldi would have been less dangerous and less stressful.

Security guard walking about swinging his arms thinking he is guarding the queen. Clearly he has a small male genitalia from years of steroid abuse. Following customers around because they sprayed a can of lynx in the shop to see if it smells ok. Absolute tool of a man ruined the magical experience that other asda stores offer. Steroid Steve only gets one star
