I took my daughters for a treat and having already looked at the menu online, I knew the prices however I thought the portions were small for the price.Just shy of £40 for 3 desserts, a latte, milkshake and a smoothie, which we're all lovely.The service was next to awful! The girls desserts came first (i was told 2 minutes for mine), then a few minutes later the drinks. The two tables next to us who ordered after us all got their food (6 in total) next. My girls waited to start even though I told them to start. They wanted a picture of all three desserts, however the icecream had half melted and the toast was soggy by the time mine arrived, which was 5 minutes after theirs!No apology. I paid, and we walked out...no 'thank you', 'bye' or anything.Really disappointed and won't go back due to the lack of service.

Attended in half term for a treat with the kids, it wasn’t particularly busy. We waited to be seated when a male waiter came over and pointed to a table. No conversation. First visit so wasn’t sure what to expect. Made our choice from the menu, female waitress friendly. Food came out separately and not all together and no cutlery given, sauce also missing. After 5 minutes asked the male waiter for cutlery as the food we had was going cold and also for the sauce. Huffed and puffed, he slammed the cutlery down. Daughters pancakes raw in the middle. Male waiter eventually brought the missing sauce and again slammed this down and no conversation. No please, no thank you.The chocolate cheesecake was lovely but the experience was ruined.I told the manager the attitude of the waiter was appalling and no service received. Didn’t seem particularly bothered.I wouldn’t recommend visiting this branch.No service what so ever, not worth the money £50 it cost us for 4 deserts and 2 drinks.We definitely won’t be returning!!!

Edit 2 Jan 2024: the experience of eating at Heavenly Desserts seems to have been dramatically and detrimentally impacted by the rollout of their new app. This evening, we were led to our table and handed our menus without a single word from the waitress. I suspect she was inexperienced and lacked training or confidence as opposed to rude. After waiting approximately 10 minutes, I remembered about the app and found the code on the table. The Castleford restaurant doesn't provide WiFi (no Heavenly Desserts SSID showing) and there's no phone signal, so customers are reliant on using free WiFi from surrounding retailers in Xcape. When I'd selected our desserts and coffees, the app threw an error that I needed a validation code, which it couldn't send. The message advised us to contact support (no details of how to do this). We attempted to download the app on another device, create a new account and tried again, only to get the same error. We tried to flag one of the waiting staff down, even waving to get attention, to no avail. One appeared to be using their mobile phone! I stood up, walked toward where the staff appeared to be congregating and caught the attention of one of them, who seemed distracted as I explained my problem, then asked me to speak to another member of staff behind the counter before hurriedly walking away. I approached the counter and waited for 5-10 minutes. In all that time, the manager and two members of staff behind the counter didn't even acknowledge I was waiting. In the end, I returned to our table and my family and I walked out. I don't think I've ever felt so strongly that I will never return to a restaurant.----Edit 1: We've been a few times since and had a fantastic experience each and every time. Staff are fabulous and a menu full of amazing desserts? What's not to like?!A fabulous experience which will no doubt please the kids and adults alike. Reading the menu is an experience in itself! Dropped a star as it was busy when we went (Sunday afternoon in School holidays) and the front of house staff, who had obviously had a tough shift, were struggling to keep up (although they remained friendly and professional throughout) and toilet cleanliness was not quite at the standard you'd expect of a good restaurant. I expect this was a one-off as it was much busier than you'd expect.

Unfortunately I’m unable to share the video of the sundae that was solidified and inedible, the cookie dough was so thin compared to previous orders! It had to be scraped from the paper. The croffle, was also half of the portion size! This cost me £37! Totally un justifiable. As a regular customer this is unacceptable. I have yet to hear back from you! Following my private email! Look forward to a response! ?♀️?

First time I’ve been here today and will definitely be coming back. Absolutely delicious. Rated atmosphere a bit lower but only because it was so quiet but that didn’t matter as my caramel monkey bread was scrumptious. My mum had lotus Biscoff & white chocolate Croffle that’s what I’ll be having on my next visit. ?

As a frequent visitor to heavenly desserts I was very disappointed today, milkshake was not of usual standard, coffee was luke warm, crepes were cold an the waffle was under cooked. But worst of the waiter Muhammad, was unresponsive, unitrested in the customer, the bill was tossed across the counter followed by the card machine.

First time ordering takeaway from Heavenly Desserts at Castleford. We was greeted by a waiter, think his name was Louis. He was polite, friendly and efficient showing us the takeaway menus and explained that we could order at the counter. Once ordered he kindly offered a table to sit at whilst waiting for our desserts. The desserts were delicious, I can highly recommend the croffle.

i am disgusted by the customer service here they are one of the most rude dessert parlours i have been to .They served our desert without ice cream and when we asked for it they said we have to pay extra.The person at the toll also did not give us any change as they “didn’t have any “ when complaining to the manager about our experience she practically laughed in our face and gave us the change from her own pocket . She was also getting very rude in my face and blaming me and my friends that we should have been more specific with what we wanted .Another things is that their bathroom doesn’t lock and someone walked in on me whilst i was washing my hands . This place is an absolutely embarrassment to their establishment and they do not like to take criticism from their customers.Because we didn’t come with our parents they thought they could get away with being cheap and giving us an awful experience.I would not recommend people to come here as the food presentation is disgusting the food itself is disgusting and none of the staff have any manners and one of the waitresses had half falling eyelashes on which could have fallen into the food and contaminated it.They should be wearing hair nets if they want to have their nitty hair out .

I am fully appalled by this service and attitude put towards me and my innocent friends , firstly they claimed to not have change to give me back , not very proffesional for a popular breakfast next we ordered our dessert to come with ice cream because it said that in the menu then they refused to give us ice cream with the meal and was very rude about it ,never coming back staff was rude and talking about us a lot so bad ??

Decided to give this place a second chance and come in for my birthday treat with my family.Mistake! Big one!Took nearly an hour to get all the treats we ordered!Yet again the hygiene is terrible! Polishing cutlery with a dirty wet old rag, to then use that rag on the tables!!!! Then use it again to polish cutlery!Staff touching their phones, faces, noses and then picking up my waffle with the same unwashed fingers. Not to mention that my waffle was still undercooked! Gross! How has this place not been given a 1 Rating for the hygiene is beyond me.Obviously my previous review has gone unnoticed.
