We visited at 1 pm on Saturday. The pub was very quiet. There was a sign on the door saying no food after 2 pm There were no pizzas, no fish. For a Carvery and pizza restaurant over 50% of the menu was unavailable. We had the Carvery. There was plenty of food. The beef and turkey were nice. The gammon was terrible. We had to wait for the gravy which had run out. My grandson ordered chicken nuggets. They were really overcooked and hard The chef that served us was very pleasant. Unfortunately the staff behind the bar weren’t as pleasant. There was no chat or interaction from them The place was dirty. We sat on table 21 and the radiator by the table was full of dirt and dust. The table was sticky. Everything needed a good clean. A most disappointing experience. The pub has certainly gone downhill. We won’t return.

Staff very unhelpful. Went in and there had already been 20 minute wait for bacon. When bacon arrived other items for breakfast weren’t ready. No bread for toast. Paid on card and when asked for refund got told it will be 3-5 days till it gets refunded back into my bank. Disgusting service. Embarrassing

Although the food was good, the service for Sunday lunch was abysmal. 40 mins we queued for the carvery as presidence was for the guy making up the Ubereat meals. One of the families in front waited a good 5/10mins for gravy being brought out resulting in their meals going cold. Make your mind up Prince William do you want visiting customers or are you a glorified take away?

Called in for breakfast this morning, absolutely shocking service, there was a long wait for nearly all the items sausage, mushrooms and only slops of beans , the worst thing was 2 female staff walked past as we were all grumbling and one said to the other something about ‘there lucky there getting anything !!!

Visited on a Saturday evening at 7.30 whilst staying at a nearby budget hotel as this was the only option close by. On entering there was a notice informing that the carvery was unavailable due to staff shortage, we understand these things are sometimes unavoidable so decided to chose from the limited menu. Pizza's, burgers, wraps and a few fish meals. The place was very quiet. We both opted for the cod option but told when ordering only one was available so I settled for the scampi plus bread and butter. Two meals were plonked in front of us by an unmotivated indifferent member of staff minus the accompanying tartar sauce which is included. He returned with the omitted sauce some time later but still no bread and butter which i now reminded him about and eventually received. Both meals were tepid at best, with semi raw chips and looked completely unappealing. Given that there were less than twenty people in the level of service, quality of the food and attitude of the staff was abysmal. If we are ever in the area again this is one establishment we will definitely avoid.

Our food was fantastic and great value for money. Jake was the chef at the time, he was so friendly and lovely to talk to. Our waitress Beth was just as wonderful and had a lovely chat with our little girl about her ballet shoes. All in all, we felt that we had brilliant service and would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely time we will be back soon! :)

We have never ever had a bad meal here, we come regularly and the food and service is always absolutely fantastic. A special thank you to Caroline as she is usually on shift when we come for breakfast and she is an absolute star! So friendly, nothing is too much trouble for her, we are always happy to see she is on when we come. Highly recommend the Prince William, food is absolutely beautiful and fresh and really reasonably priced.

We visited and as a large family we were all very happy. Good selection of fresh vegetables, meat perfect and was served at the bar by a lovely young girl called Ellie. Was very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble for my fussy little eaters.

I booked a table for 22 for my daughters birthday meal. Although you could see they were a little short on staff, we cannot complain about the service. It did take a little longer than usual for our meals but there were 20 main meals ordered so its not suprising and I think they did a great job getting all it ready at once. The food was hot, freshly made and no one had any complaints. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy. The manager was lovely and even offered to help put up our decorations up and gave us packaging to take our cake slices home. Thank you

Initially was sat in the function room but it was set out like a canteen and not exactly inviting.We got moved into the main pub area which was much better. Carvery was ok. Lots of things running out but was replenished quickly. Ordered dessert that took half an hour to come which wasn't great. It's a shame because it's normally really good here but last couple of times we've had this experience.

Come out for a 21st birthday meal, no meat at all for the carvery or for any other meals, basically just had vegetarian selections. Ice cream machine wasn’t working which meant there was no choice for the set menu for most main meals and deserts.

Myself snd a friend visited here yesterday evening. I have never been so appalled at the attitude of your staff , 2 in particular. A lady turned up for a car very which was booked online . At this point I must your booking system needs updating . You should maybe look at after a certain time people can’t book for a carvery . My point as I can’t argue for the lady is your staffs attitude towards her,when the lady was annoyed is it fitting to say don’t bother coming back and the other girl to shout across the bar block her from booking again !!!! Utterly disgusting one had black hair in a messy ponytail and the other shoulder length green hair . Sort your staff out . I’m a regular here snd after that I won’t be returning !!!

The food was warm, the service wasn’t much better, I asked for GF gravy. By the time it arrived I had nearly eaten up. I suppose it depends what time of day it is, they seemed short staff & I was with a party ( privately arranged) ..it was a very busy night. All the party was t served together, the timing wasn’t right.
