The staff were so lovely!! And service was quick, they went above and beyond to ensure no cross contamination occurred as I had an allergy, the food was delicious!!!!!! Highly recommend the mozzarella starter and the sesame seed chicken!

My partner and I have been to this particular TGI’s a few times and it is clear that service is pretty poor. Staff are way more interested to stand idly by and chat amongst themselves instead of doing their job. It’s somehow the norm that you have to ask for your knife and fork at this place, not to mention the fact that the toilets are pretty grim and clearly not cleaned very often. The only saving grace is that the food is fine, but other than that I would strongly recommend you avoid TGI Fridays at Xscape

Awful really, had a table booked for 18:00 tonight, we arrived early and we’re sat by 18:00. Not one person approached us for 45 minutes of waiting, yet we saw many members of staff just stood around in groups. We ended up going for the ol reliable KFC <3

Nightmare service and staffWaiting for takeway orders at least 40 minutes. Rude people, a couple of seats taken and 90% empty but still hours to get order ready for delivery.Strongly not recommend for delivery. Food is given to drivers already cold. Nobody care about this at all. This place need different management.Because same happen every day.

Where to start. Attended as a family of 4 for dinner, and was sat in a reasonable booth… and it just went downhill from there, in all aspects. We waited around 15mins for someone to take our order, the chap looking after our section had no interest or even checked in to say he’d be with us shortly (the restaurant was not particularly busy either) and in the end we had to ask him if we could place our order, and this was a red flag that indicated what was to come. They can say you can normally judge an eatery by the cleanliness of the toilets. I visited the men’s whilst waiting for food to arrive and one cubicle was full of blood, and the other with faeces and vomit. Now this is the work of some other unfortunate guests, however it was also obvious that no staff from TGI’s were checking the toilets on a regular basis either. Then to the lack of service and terrible quality of food. Food took a while to arrive, one adult dish and the children’s dish arrived, alongside incorrect fries to that was ordered for another of the group. The chicken on the first adult dish was hard to the point of the knife flying off the table after an attempt to cut it. Thankfully, the kid’s dish was of the expected (edible) standard. Another dish arrived a few minutes later, quesadillas, which was black and burned underneath and had obviously been placed that way in the hope it wouldn’t be noticed. There were two portions of garlic mash ordered which when they arrived were extremely claggy and oily, it was more like hospital porridge than mashed potato, and frankly inedible. It was not convenient or good service that there was such a delay in the food arriving either, but then it took over 10 minutes for the last meal to arrive, just at the point the person had got up to complain and ask if the whereabouts of said meal. At this point the manager arrived at the table and small credit where is due, refunded the two inferior meals and the inedible garlic mash alongside an apology, but let’s face it - at this point the poor quality and service was irretrievable. The real salt in the wounds were even after the poor start the person looking after our section took no care of our table, and not even once were we asked if we’d like to order anymore drinks. Alongside that we could see in close proximity numerous waiting staff just congregating around the kitchen area, chatting away and laughing with each other whilst all the time, we and I imagine other customers were having a horrendous experience. I can’t quite believe how poor this dining experience was and we all genuinely wished we had gone to any other eatery at the venue, even going to McDonalds quite frankly would have been a more pleasant and higher quality experience. I can’t recommend this branch or TGI’s as a brand if this is the standard, we certainly have no designs on dining with them ever again. Avoid, and spend your money elsewhere.

Waited 35 mins to be seated even though we made a booking. once seated we were told of a number of items that were unavailable and there was a 40 minute wait on food. We should have been told of these issue when we checked in, instead we were set to not get our food until an hour and 15 mins after our table was booked for. On top of this the table and the whole restaurant in general was dirty, the menu has reduced in size and the prices appear to have increased more than other restaurants. We walked out and went to mcdonalds. Ruined our evenings celebrations.

31-12-23Never again!Tables with old food sitting hours..Cold food after waiting 1hr 20min, food out of the fridge was warmer then the cooked food, must of been under the heat lamps at least 20min.Under staffed (shouldn't of opened)Many tables walking out because of cold food and waiting ages.Manager went to default setting (free round of drinks) instead of solving the issues. ?(if you can't sack promote)Well overpriced, for the experience if it was a back street cafe it would be closed down.Walked out, went to Burger King, served in 10min food was hot ?

I'm just glad the food was nice because the service was the worst my partner and 2 kids experienced in any TGI's. We were seated with no kids menus and no cutlery. Waited a long time before someone attended to us for drinks so drinks were ordered with the food. Usually drinks are ordered first before the starters. After we ordered the starter the waitress came back to ask if one the kids would like cheese with the spaghetti, we told her no thank you but it came out with cheese anyway. A new one came out straight away but then the same starters came out again to our table. Nobody came to check how the starters were and when we ran out of drinks we waited ages again so my partner had to go to the bar herself for refills.

Absolutely shocking prices, The Messy burger one patty lettuce onion and tomatoes few chips on the side 22.50 not even a side salad or coleslaw garnish. Waited about 35 mins for food , The house salad was just tiny cubes of toms peppers and onions as if it was for the salsa dish.........3 burgers and chips house salad and humous 3 kids meals all for agrand total of 90 quid, safe to say we won't be eating there any time soon , A Maccies double quater pounder meal deal is around 7 quid........I shall leave it there. ??

I don't often feel so strongly as to write a review but this one had to be wrote. WOW. My all time favourite for many many years has took a total plunge into Hells Kitchen territory. So much so we left hungry without even touching our food nor paying for it . Arrived at 7pm had booked a table. Was seated at a dirty table with no cutlery. Staff wandering around looking either stressed or completely miserable and like they would rather be anywhere else in the world. 15 minutes after been seated our order was took. Drinks took a good 10/15 minutes to arrive so we just sat at this bare table feeling totally forgotten. We had ordered sesame seed chicken straps, a full rack and a half rack of ULTIMATE ribs. Had both of these meals many times before and they were amazing and might I add a lot more reasonable in price. Sesame seed chicken starter is now £10.95 and ribs main is £29.50 . Food arrived A HOUR after ordering . I was that shocked it was actually amusing . The ULTIMATE ribs were bone dry !! No sauce on them what so ever and barely warm. They had a tiny little pot of sauce to pour yourself which contained no more than a few teaspoons of sauce for a full dry rack. Sesame seed chicken consisted of what resembled 5 shriveled up chicken nuggets which looked horrible and were more or less cold. Took one look at it and said we wasn't eating it so to take it back and get us a Manager. To be fair to the manager he was really nice and apologised for our bad experience. He loon genuinely defeated by whatever was going on last night but we didn't hold him accountable . Just such a sad thing to see your all time fave go to soul food era go down the pan . TGI 's sort it out . You used to be brilliant . Sadly won't go again now ?

The children’s menu is good has some options at a good price and portion size was good. Fajitas were nice but not enough chicken for adults, too much onion. Burger meal very small. There was one member of male staff serving which was slightly older than the others and pleasant. The rest of the staff were miserable and looked unhappy to be at work. One female could be heard shouting at the kitchen staff very loudly and rudely. The young male seating people didn’t even acknowledge your existence and looked very miserable. Very slow service and staff response given how many were working The one male who did serve us was very nice.

We arrived after a busy day of family fun at Xscape. We ordered the Times Square sharing starter, followed by mains of Frank’s Hot chicken burger, Wings, sesame chicken strips and a kids cheeseburger meal and some sides. Whilst we waited for the starter we had drinks and then ordered more after waiting for over 25mins. Empty glasses were left on the table, and had to be asked to be taken away. There was a maximum of 30 people in the whole restaurant, it was after the main rush, plenty of staff walking back and forth. The starters were hot and not too bad. We again had to ask someone to take the empties away, to which they took the talk stacked plates but left all other items such as small plates, cutlery and used napkins on the table. The mains came after about 20mins, and the server was asked to take the remaining items, which he politely did. Another server asked of we needed anything else- yes, ketchup. To which was placed on the table as she walked back passed, no comment/ look or anything- appearing very rude. The children’s burger was over cooked and resembled a dark brown hockey puck! The sides of onion rings and loaded fries were stone cold. The sesame chicken was topped with chilli flakes not sesame seeds, which were therefore too spicy for the child who ordered them, and not what was described. We complained about the service, the wait times, the sub-par food / inability to eat. The manager said the service was due to different staff having different roles - ok, so then their communication between teams are inefficient. There was no answer to why we had cold food/ why it took so long/ what we were given food not as described. We left with hungry kids and grumpy parents, paying for the starters, drinks and some of the main. Not happy at all! We will never go back and would not recommend to anyone at all. So disappointing.
