The hotel itself it very generic and basic, ut definitely could do with a freshen up. The staff however are absolutely amazing, so welcoming and accommodating. Every member of staff I have had the pleasure to speak to have been so kind and helpful. In a time of need it's wonderful to know that you will be greated by such lovley, warm human beings !!!

Second time staying here in the last 2 years and the reception has been updated with breakfast area, which has a lovely clean and calm atmosphere.Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed during mothers day so received a bunch of daffodils which was a perfect touch to our day as our focus was on visiting grandma and didn't do anything for myself, mother of a 6month old and of a two half year old. Location has a great red kit pub and a drive thru Starbucks as well as subway and Greggs close by which makes our stopover even easier. Will stay here in the future as they mentioned the rooms will be updated next which will be a big benefit as the TV in our room was tiny 15inches if that.Rooms: Family room was comfortable even with a single and cot in with our double. Only issue was the tiny TV which I'm hoping with be replaced in their next phase of refurbishment.Safety: Very safe separate doors to different parts of the building which was reassuring.Cars are also registered at reception.Food & drinks: Breakfast onsite. Vending machine. Nearby pub the RED kite. Also nearby they have service station with spar, greggs and subway and drive thru Starbucks.

Handy for what we needed.Room we stayed in looked a little tired and carpet needed a deep clean or replacing in the room.Staff efficient.Pub shared the same carpark so was a little noisy at last orders.

Great staff and facilities for the price, and very convenient location for the M1 and many of the places of interest in the area.

Greeted by the lovely Liz who was friendly and approachable. Elaine was an absolute diamond serving me breakfast and I had a gorgeous breakfast booked by AJ. Best poached eggs I've ever had.

What can I say about the service at Premier in South. After being let down by our air bnb the day before we traveled what should have been at 3.5hour journeying I called Premier Inn South Shak was amazing, he arranged for our family of 5 to have joining rooms so no stress or worries. After 4.5 hours in the car we were greated in the lobby by Louise and team with a complimentary drink, checked in and off we went to our room. Our rooms were lovely and clean and super comfortable with a few bubbles added to help unwind. We were off to a wedding the next day close by but also celebrating our youngests 5th birthday, we all headed down for breakfast which Shak, Louise and team had laid on a special birthday celebration for our little lady with gifts and banners. After a magical morning off we went to the wedding, had an amazing time and returned to a welcoming and cosy place to stay for our secound night.I honestly can't thank this team enough for making a very stressful beginning into an amazing wonderful stressful weekend. I was overwhelmed by Shak, Louise and the teams efforts, attention to detail, genuine love for their job and customers. Thank You all for our fantastic stay and can not recommend you all enough.

Think of this as a reasonable Travelodge and you won't be dissapointed. It's adequate. But for a Premier Inn it is a let down and not up to their usual standard.
