I am so glad I have this chippy on my doorstep. The food is amazing. The staff are really friendly . It looks clean . The menu is clear and easy to read. 5 stars . Highly recommend this place.

Put simply this was the worst fish & chips i have had for at least a decade… Chips: like kevlar , titanium and leather combined into an inedible tooth cracking substance = gave 90% to the bin ! Bin not happy ? Fish: bone dry and i mean crumbly dry and totally tasteless … Whole lot double dipped and baked under a heat lamp until leathery and literally I couldn’t bite into it… My advice don’t go or wait until you see a massive queue so you know that at least they aren’t double dip frying them etc

Awful. The fish AND the chips were reheated from the night before ( or maybe the week before?). The peas were not cooked and not mushy. Inedible. It went in the bin Like the previous review said, I can see why the shop was empty. They may have taken my money today, but I won’t fall for it again.

I went in for a bag of chips around noon, you would have thought they would be good at preparing them as they are a fish and chip shop after all, but no. There were plenty of chips but most were over cooked (or re-heated?) which made them dry, tough and inedible. I threw most of them away - I daren't even feed them to the pigeons in case they choked - honestly! No wonder the shop was empty when I went in. I will not be back.

Chips are a mix of too crunchy, chewy and hard, and a lot of spiky ones!….I had to eat with my front teeth as I almost lost a filling….I’d say they were last night’s chips warmed up! Don’t bother they’re awful.

Chips virtually inedible. Fish fell apart and had strong unpleasant aftertaste. Serving staff unengaging. Used to be great, clearly new owners.

Not been in for a few months , went in with my grandson this morning. Different staff on , asked for chips and curry twice , charged £9.40 . There was easily a 50% reduction in chips , we won't be going there again.

We were looking forward yo Bank Holiday Fish & Chips but it was really disappointing the fish was dry and the chips bland

Perfectly pleasant staff unfortunately what we ordered was awful. The king size fish was dry & tasteless with the batter overcooked. The chips were stuck together and claggy. One of our party couldn't eat it it was so bad.

I went here for food for my friends today, (I checked it was still cooked in bed dripping due to being Vegan myself, and it was) My friends were really disappointed in all the food. Tiny portions and they couldn't eat many of the chips at all as they were hard not tasty at all. I asked for a small fish, but get the impression that all their fish are small. Staff were perfectly pleasant, and place was clean, but unfortunately food just wasn't up to standard. Not sure if an off day...

Massively depends who's frying as to what experience you get.Shorter guy, Rick, 5 stars.taller guy, 1 starThe difference in consistency seems to be staff training.

Absolutely awful chips… bought 2 bags and not even able to eat half a bag.Chewy, bad, rotten over cooked you name it we got it.I’m sure it is a mishap as pictures on here made me head to this chippy.

Love these fish and chips, especially when there are new potatoes available! One of my top places to go for this dish!

Went in for a king-size fish and chips with curry sauce and a sausage and chips very simple order.. they forgot about my sausage and chips had to prompt after they wished me a good day which is fine... told In the shop by the cook the chips we're fresh out by 4mins get home 2minutes away to find 90% of chips on both meals pretty much like like crisps... on the plus the fish was great
