I’m sat here still in the shoulder of mutton in Mytholmroyd writing this review because of how impressed I am! The cheese and onion pie is fantastic! Home made chips with it. Enjoying it so much thank you very much! Good value also! Good portions?

The new decorations have really spruced up the place. I had the hunter chicken which a new addition to the menu and my friend had a steak both were delicious (and huge). The staff were helpful and friendly. Everything is well priced in a lovely relaxing

visited friday after the refurb for the 1/2 price food offer.food even at half price was poor and overcooked, and nothing to suggest a refurbjust kie the dusty miller trys to cater for everyone so a mix of pub locals and resturantand please fix the broken floor tile

The food was nice but small portions a long wait for the food for the price very expensive come on stop putting chips in silly metal pots not impressed will not be back my burger and chips left me feeling like I just had a starter for the price more

I don't think I will be visiting this pub again. One of the regulars decided to light the fire because the pub was cold. Only to be told off for using the wood next to the fire place. Come on management look after your customers. Keep them happy and they will come back for more. Wood is available for free if you ask people.

Roast beef and gravy with the giant Yorkshire pud was great but the mash peas and carrots where not served with it....chef ran out apparently. Otherwise fine apart from grown men screaming at lads in shorts on the TV.

Much better since the management changed, that woman before really only cared about her pals.It’s still dowdy inside though and the atmosphere in the beer garden can be awful with kids and dogs running around.
Lovely local pub with a great atmosphere good selection of beers and a good food ? menu.

Had a day out in Hebden Bridge and took a walk along the canal to Mytholmroyd and stumbled across The Shoulder of Mutton. Firstly the bar staff were lovely and welcoming and secondly the food was fantastic. I chose one of the specials which was the meatball sub and it was delicious and the chips were gorgeous, you could tell they were homemade. My husband had the pie which looked gorgeous and he said it was really tasty and our friend had the fish and chips which was huge and he said was lovely. The presentation was lovely and the food was piping hot and really good value. I would definitely recommend this place, thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Came here for a work leaving event. Beautiful food, and amazingly quick service. Staff were incredibly cheerful and friendly. We also got a nice surprise as a band was practicing some of their songs while we were there. The place was a bit quiet, so the atmosphere could have been better.

Nipped in for a spot of lunch after over a 20+ year absence. What a change to the old place! Great food, cracking outdoor area by the side of the river and really friendly staff Try the hot beef sarnie if you are hungry. Worth a visit
