Cosy little place and 3 out of our 4 meals were fine. However, the Roast Chicken and Stuffing Sub at £9.95 contained mostly stuffing and hardly any chicken. Waitress said she would tell the chef but we received no apology and no recompense, which is unacceptable. In hindsight we should have refused to pay for the Sub. Instead we left feeling disappointed. For this reason we will not return or recommend. Plenty of other cafes etc around instead.

This cafe enticed us in on a very cold day, looking very nicely done out. The breakfasts and drinks looked stunningly presented when they arrived. However, the vegetarian sausages tasted a bit cheap. My grandsons, who love the sausages at Wetherspoons, refused to eat his. The fried eggs were undercooked and had chopped parsley sprinkled on top, which led one grandson to leave them both. When I went to the till to pay, I clearly stated where we were sitting. (There only 2 other customers present.) It was very dark and I couldn't see the bill, not having my reading glasses) I trusted what we had been charged and paid by Visa. Around 30 minutes after we had left, the owner, having chased us down in the middle of the busy market, claimed we had been under charged and that he was going to deduct the amount from the waitress' wages. We passed him an extra £20.00. Very humiliating and rather ruined our experience of the wonderful Hebden Bridge.

Really glad we decided to pop in for lunch, such a lovely place. The staff were amazing and the food just perfect. The portions were huge and the chocolate cake was incredible. The atmosphere was really nice and relaxed with the best chilled songs playing quietly. If we're in the area again we will definitely be back. Thank you!

Amazing food - the biggest salads and teapots I've ever seen! Staff could not have been more helpful with us having two small kids and a dog. Way better value for money compared to somewhere like the White Lion (which we had left earlier having looked at the menu) Won't hesitate to come back next time we visit Hebden Bridge.

This is a fantastic place to eat in town, really good value for money compared to the competition locally, the portions are huge! Staff are always super friendly and it is clearly very well run because when busy you aren’t waiting for ages. Also dog friendly, which is always good! Definitely recommend.

I ordered the chicken and chorizo melt and it was delicious! The service is fast and efficient and the food came quickly despite it being busy. Will definitely be coming again!

Went here for lunch with my partner, he had the roast chicken melt and i had the graze board. One of the nicest foods we’ve ever had, he keeps telling me how he’s craving the chicken melt and how we need to go back every weekend for it! The staff were excellent, so friendly and we had a great laugh with the owners. Would definitely go back again, such a great experience and definitely worthy of all the 5 star reviews!

Had high hopes based on reviews and local feel. However those hopes were quashed pretty quickly. Alarm bells rang when “ice cream milkshake” came out in liquid form, then sandwiches followed more or less 5 mins after ordering. The ciabatta was like a partially baked bread that hasn’t had the second baking, raw texture and incredibly chewy. Spicy nduja mayo had no flavour let alone spice, and the rest of the fillings were equally bland. It’s rare I feel so disappointed with food, but this really felt like it had zero effort or thought out into it, while costing more than many other better restaurants nearby. Still shocked by the high rating, sorry - but I won’t go back again.

Excellent food at this friendly cafe. We came with seven adults two babies and a dog and they coped with us! The food was all very good. The service was pretty good and there were good vegan and gluten free options.Dietary restrictions: There were several vegan options and all the sandwiches are available on GF bread.

My god, put some food on the plates, and don't expect people to hack their way through the bread served with the chicken and chorizo melt. Unable to chew and given a full refund for this poor excuse for a sandwich. It was supposed to be a melt, but it must have melted away. It didn't soften the bread at all. They were very curtious and only let down by the food. A great setting but not matched by poor quality and quantity. This is an example of size-flation. Dearer food and smaller portions.
