This was my first visit having found many lacklustre Chinese restaurants locally and needing a change. Well worth the 30 min drive ! The quality of the food, the portion sizes and the flavours of everything we tried were incredible. A fabulous experience from the moment the phone was answered when we called to book - right through to leaving the building more than satisfied with everything (and every member of staff we met) Amazing and we will be back.

Went for my daughters birthday staff went the extra mile and when we turned up they decorated the table off the there own backs food was amazing and staff were fantastic ?

Been here tonight for the first time and oh my word it definately wont be our last visit. Everything was perfect from "Gobby Sharon" and all her knowledge, friendliness, entertainment and making us feel very welcome, to the food which was extremely tasty, succulent and perfect portion sizes, aleady thinking about our next visit, I am so glad we found this place.

My partner and I visited this little gem last weekend and what a find ! We were going to get a takeaway but decided to eat in. The food was amazing with the best salt and pepper chips I’ve ever tasted ! At first glance the prices seemed on the expensive side but it includes your rice or chips with it so overall it’s reasonable. It comes well presented aswell.The staff were lovely and attentive nothing too much trouble explaining what the different dishes were Sharon is a little bit bonkers and worth a visit just to meet her ?Would highly recommend looking forward to visiting again soon.

Good value for money , perfect sized portions , Sharon the manager was the best , very helpful and lively ,answered any questions we had on the menu and explained what each dish was.Dietary restrictions: One of the party was gluten free and there was a section on the menu specifically for gluten free options
From entering the restaurant to leaving the staff were very professional, wonderfully led by Sharon who certainly added to the evening. She explained the menu and answered any questions anyone had on any of the dishes. The food was great and any special requests were met . I will certainly be going again.

So impressed by this little gem of a Chinese restaurant. It’s tucked away on a side street in Hipperholme, and if it wasn’t for recommendation on the Huddersfield gluten free Facebook group, I wouldn’t have known about it. I’ve not had a Chinese in over a decade since being gluten intolerant, so I was eagerly anticipating and salivating on arrival! The restaurant is cosy, and nicely decorated. The table linen and linen napkins were a lovely touch and gave it that higher end restaurant feel. Sharon the manager, was absolutely fabulous, and is clearly a real character that gives the restaurant warmth with her quirky humour. She couldn’t do enough for us and was an exceptional host. The gluten free options are clearly labelled on a menu page, plus Sharon informed us that many other dishes could also be adapted. We chose gluten free prawn toast and Peking ribs for starters and they truly were to die for! The sweet and sour king prawns (battered and gf!) and chicken fried rice equally did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful food. The portions weren’t huge (as they sometimes are in takeaways) but it was quality over quantity and I’d prefer that any day. If you fancy a really nice restaurant experience with delicious Chinese food, then you must try the Imperial.
