Lovely place with some very nice seafood. We went for a family meal at a very busy time, friendly staff and a good selection of food and drinks. We had a great meal and will definitely be going back soon.

Visited as an alternative to a nearby fish and chip restaurant that wasn't serving to dine in. It was ok. Positions itself as a more upmarket fish restaurant with a more extensive menu. You can get traditional fish n chips if you wish, and that's what we ordered. The food was ok, nothing special and was a bit pricey. Service was efficient and friendly.

The service was very slow, the starter was more 'deep fried peppers' than 'deep fried squid' but the main course was good. Not sure I'll be going back anytime soon but the staff were helpful and the atmosphere was good.

Food was poor, chips under cooked, had to prompt waiter every time we had finished a course, we also had to tell waiter that we were still missing food fro our order.Real shame as we have really enjoyed our previous experience and have rated 5 star, it may have be shortage of staff, or poor staff training.

Absolutely fantastic!! Service, staff, decor, cleanliness and the overall atmosphere was fabulous and the food was deeeeelightful! A perfect place to dine out, I will recommend and definitely be returning - top class - well done guys you have a 1st class fish restaurant.

We have been caught this time at Catch but not again. Very disappointed with our meals. I had the haddock & chips but when it came it looked like it had been triple cooked and so bland, not even a piece of lemon. When I tried to cut into the fish the batter was very over cooked so the fish was inedible, I told the server and yes no problem she ordered me another, she left the overcooked meal in front of me and a little while later another server just put a plate down with another haddock on it, not a meal replacement ! Cold chips aren’t really that nice. Anyhow this piece of haddock was much better but tbh I think they just didn’t care !! My husband had the mixed fish & seafood dish at £35 ! We thought the restaurant would be a good experience and much better but unfortunately we wouldn’t return. Also didn’t realise until now that it’s a chain.

Food was ok. Fish was cooked well. An hour and 20 minutes is too long to wait for food to arrive. Don't think you should have to pay extra for vegetables and/or potatoes when specials cost £21. They should be included.

Lovely food and great service. A warm welcome from pleasant and helpful staff here in Holmfirth. The fish and chips were divine, the monkfish curry delicious and the assorted starters went down a treat especially the monkfish wings. We will definitely return to this little gem of a restaurant.

Met a friend here on Monday for an early supper (5.30pm) and both enjoyed it immensely. We were looked after by a young, friendly team who provided really good service. My friend had traditional fish & chips (a very generous 'standard' portion) and I ordered the tempura king prawns. What a feast! They were absolutely delicious - huge, meaty prawns in a light, crispy, crunchy batter. I only had room for three or four chips, the prawns were so big. We both enjoyed every mouthful and felt our meals were excellent value for money. Super restaurant for fish/seafood fans.

We visited on Thursday Evening having booked a table for 7.30pm. It was almost 9pm before we got our food. The waiting staff were pleasant and the food was ok when it came. My fish was cooked well but at £21 I don't think I should have had to pay extra for vegetables and or potatoes.

My wife and i booked here for the monday evening offer of ( bottomless mussels ) which as the name suggests you can order as many dishes of mussels as you desire , this was also confirmed by the waitress serving us to be the case . So my wife ordered the bottomless mussels and i went for the cod loin , however after the initial dish of thai mussels was served and consumed my wife then asked for the garlic and shallot version which came with approx 50% the amount of the first serving . Upon eating them she then ordered the spicy sausage and tomato dish , after 10 minutes waiting she was informed by the waitress that there wasnt any mussels left ! But because of this she would only be charged for the 1st dish . Why upon our initial order werent we informed of the situation she could then have ordered something else ? So iff you go and it looks as though your going to get through the entire mussel menu then dont be surprised iff they run out . That aside the food was good and friendly enough service

What a gorgeous meal we had at Catch Holmfirth. Lovely atmosphere but even better food including possibly the best seafood linguine I have ever had ( and I’ve had plenty!). Apparently the kitchen had been let down but the woman who ran it this evening has serious talent! Thoroughly recommend it!

We ate at lunchtime, the restaurant was fairly quiet but by no means empty. Table for four, we had two special salmon dishes and fish & chips with curry sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection served by attentive staff.
