The oil used is probably not changed as frequently as it should be. (Beef dripping is best anyhow). We have tried them twice from this place and the taste is unpleasant. The batter on the fish is thick, hard and unappetising and they even manage to serve chips that are pretty vile. Understandably not a busy shop and an opportunity missed. A great shame.

I had been looking forward to your fish and chips for days having come up on holiday from suffolk. I doubt whether I will buy from you again once bitten and all that. Sorry.Parking: Very little areas to park apart from a small area across the road, if you are lucky there may be a space

Tried Honley after a long break using other local fish and chips places. Chips were best I've had for a long time, crispy and fresh and fish was really tasty, fresh, batter crispy and tasty (although not a big fan of batter anyway) and no grease whatsoever. Best fish and chips for ages.

Lovely fish cakes at this chippy and fish and chips good too always go here I have tried the ones in holmfirth but they are expensive and not as good. Well done to the cooks
