“We had a wonderful time at Bengal Spice, although we hadn’t booked in advance and it was a busy Saturday night, we were quickly welcomed. The atmosphere was great, with lots of other diners and very friendly service. The waiters were absolutely amazing, very attentive. The restaurant was very modern and decorated beautifully with lots of character, with big windows, brick wall and quirky lights. The food was delicious, the poppadoms were perfectly crisp with a fantastic array of dips. We ordered the vegetable combo to share - the onion bhaji was cooked to a golden perfection and the battered potato was so fluffy and beautifully spiced. Being vegan there was lots of options to choose from. I ordered a vegetable balti which had a great depth of flavours, a variety of vegetables and a rich sauce. The mushroom rice was delicious too. My husband had a balti Jatfri with lamb, which had plenty of meat, very tender and full of flavour. Overall had a fantastic time, and would recommend everyone to go there!”
