Have gone past this pub on the way to somewhere else, we decided to call in for a drink on the way back. It was buzzing with people, creating a welcoming atmosphere and a friendly feel. The host took it a step further by going out of her way to make us a coffee with oat milk, then delivering it to our table. Great service. Had an interesting read about ghostly events said to have happened at the pub. This place obviously has a tale to tell!

Eaten here a few times recently in the summer Tried the Steak Sunday, very generous portions and you can upgrade the wine, but no real need to. They also have some great midweek offers, really good value. Best to book.

One word: exceptional. We had the best food, absolutely outstanding. Lamb kebabs, homemade flatbread, yoghurt dressing & one of us had a chicken burger which was always delicious. Generous portions but not overwhelming, friendly staff, lovely beer deck. Will be back as soon as we can. HIGHLY recommend.

We were really looking forward to a dinner on the first sunny Sunday. The garden area was not too busy but we were told we could not order for 50 mins !!! This may have been delivered in a polite way but sadly not, the landlord certainly needs to extend his communication skills as I felt like my grumpy dad was telling me off !!!

Oh dear very poor. Having been here about 4 years ago, we were looking forward to returning as it used to be very friendly. Far from it this time. A very survey, pony tailed bar man ' greeted us ' with a "yeah" when we asked if they were serving food.We sat at out table and were ignored.I returned to the bar and asked if they had a menu. " Yeah over there" was his reply. He looked completely apathetic and miserable. We left.
