We visited this gem after hearing some great reviews. Unlike other Tobys we have visited in the past the food was perfectly heated but the Yorkshire pudding lacked a bit of warmth. Kath who was our host was brilliant, friendly and fun. We will definitely go back for that alone. All in all we most certainly will be making a return visit soon. Thank you Kath for putting up with us.

My wife is a vegetarian, so a meat carvery is difficult for her. However in the past we have found that the vegetarian options work out. This time we were told when we arrived that one of the options wasnt available, so my wife chose a different one. A few mins later the staff came back and said that wasnt available either, so my wife chose again. A few mins later, it was made clear that no options were available. This made the dinner experience less harmonious for a start. For myself, I eat meat. I was told when I arrived that there was no gammon, which is OK. I dont usually have any. However when I got to the counter I was told that the beef was now out as well, and all that was left was pork or turkey. Hardly the sort of choice that I expected. So the overall experience left me upset - and I will find it difficult to persuade my wife to go again - even if I want to myself.

Wanted to take my unfinished dinner home, would not give me a takeaway container because ‘they’ve been that busy that they haven’t unpacked the delivery yet’ also no foil in the kitchen anywhere, what kitchen doesn’t have foil. Wouldn’t give me cling film incase I choked on the cling film at home, sorry what?! Just awkward for the sake of being awkward. It’s my dinner that I’ve paid for! Food was ok though

Came as a party of 7 on news years day for my mums birthday, fast & friendly service from Kath our waitress who was amazing and so lovely with our kiddies who was dining with us, she made sure we had everything we needed despite the restaurant been busy. Food was lovely as always & everybody had a lovely night! Thanks again Kath, happy new year! ♥️

Food was ok. Person serving meat at the carvery was a total creep & asked my wife for a a kiss for Christmas, even came out from behind the serving counter & pointed to his cheek right next to her. Totally inappropriate. He left her very on edge. So, wouldn't be going back as they didn't respond to this written on their survey email by my wife and another time on their website's complaints section by my mother in law. Clearly they ignore anything negative so here's our Google review thanks to the lack of response.

Went for an all you can eat breakfast and trust me you can’t eat anything unless you like eating raw meat - bacon looks like it’s just been carved off the pig, the sausages are the complete opposite, you could use them as projectiles and potentially kill a man.Service slow and awful, ordered 5 drinks and she clearly wasn’t listening cause we ended up with 6 and was charged.Won’t be going again until they buy an oven or at the very least a timer for cooking the foodAwful

Came here for an unlimited breakfast on my birthday. Food was unbelievable quality and well worth the money. It cost £18.50 for two unlimited breakfast, an unlimited soft drink and unlimited hot drink. Can’t go wrong at that price really.

My husband and I came on xmas day. First time eating out on this day after years if hosting! Couldn't fault anything. The staff were so welcoming and friendly especially Liam, our waiter. The food was amazing. Lovely touches like crackers and christmas card. Will definitely be back next year for xmas dinner!

Cath was superb, what a diamond of a waitress. We used to come as kids so me and my brother brought our mam and the full squad of kids. Cath was superb; she showed us how to get stuck in and the kids loved it. My missus (a long time Carvery snob) is now fully converted. Thanks Cath and Co xxx

Had a nice carverly buffet with my Family, there was quite a good variety of food to choose from and food was lovely. The lady that served us her name was Kathy who was fantastic with us and looked after us kept coming over asking if we needed anything and if our food was ok. To say that there was 9 of us in total which included 3 children the total amount we paid was not that expensive probably cheaper than eating in a restaurant with a family, and we even had dessert afterwards. I recommend to come here again.

Went today for Boxing Day meal with family, have been here last few years with family without any problems. On this occasion the service was horrendous. Was shown to our table that was without cutlery when served our starters. When we went for our carvery we were stood there for 15 minutes no queue just no staff, to then be served by somebody that just didn’t want to be there. Kindly asked for the new stuffing to be opened as the one that was there was just the burnt bits in the bottom, the man opened the new one and then proceeded to pour all the burnt bits of stuffing on top of the new one. Now I’m aware that they probably take the old bits of veg in the back and mix them in with the new ones and send them out again, but to do this in front of customers with what was left in that pot is disgusting we are not pigs. At this point I refused to eat my main.

customer service was horrible, 2 different staff charging 2 different prices for the same drink. The food wasn’t good, mac and cheese tasted canned, the older member of staff gave me the worst dirty look when asking her for help do not recommend

The server at the carvery was lovely but that’s where the positives end. I stood unattended at the front desk for 10 mins waiting to be seated for a table that I had booked, we had to shout someone over to take drinks and started orders after sitting there ignored. The starters too 25 mins to arrive. The beef was inedible on the carvery full of gristle and the gravy was luke warm. We sat with empty plates for 20 mins, wasn’t asked if we would like anything else and had to about someone over to pay the bill. I definitely won’t rush back

We had a very good Carvery here. £9.50 (weekday price) Lots of meat and a great choice of vegetables. There is also a vegetarian option Carvery. Everything tasted good. It was very busy for a Monday which I think shows how good the food is. Plenty of parking. We will definitely visit here again.
