Food was lovely but only thing that’s uncomfortable is the fact staff are messing with hair when serving food to customers and flicking their hair about, it should be tied up or at least have it out the way

I went to Ambry's for a meeting, as it is a useful community facility, not just a café. Rather forgetfulness, I took no money with me and had no plans to buy anything, having just had a meal at home. The staff were fine with this and said it was just nice to have visitors. So charming. I thoroughly recommend the café for its friendly atmosphere. Next time I will try the food and drink.

Great little community cafe, very warm and friendly staff. Volunteer run, and all proceeds go back into the community, do stop by for a bacon sandwich/full english and tea/coffee.

It's a community cafe run by church volunteers, on the whole the service is good but some days - ohhhh boy. Today for example, 2 of us for lunch, wanting a small breakfast with coke, and soup with a sandwich. Small breakfast easy until we try to say we don't want the included tea but a tin of pop and will pay difference. 5 minutes at the countertop explaining as many different ways as we can find. But we got there in the end.Soup with a sandwich. Took a couple of trips round the mulberry bush but got them to accept didn't want the free bread that comes with it. Ham and tomato sandwich, no we didn't want salad with it. Cucumber? Or lettuce? Onion? Or radishes? Or cress? Or tomatoes? No, none of them, no not the salad, no crisps, for 10 minutes. And a cup of tea please. Duly paid for, sit at table and await lunch. Drinks arrive. 5 minutes later soup arrives. Without complementary slice of bread. No sign of breakfast or a ham and tomato sandwich. 5 minutes go and ask at counter. "Oh, we though you meant them as individual courses.... Be with you in couple of minutes. " Aarrrgggghhhhh. And on other days it's great.
