Went for lunch after a browse around the garden centre. Both me and my partner had vegetarian options and they were great. Definitely recommend the chips. Friendly staff and quick service.

Decaf coffee fine. Tea & GF brownie were good. Scone quite dry. Lift not easy to figure out. Staff friendly. Slippy floor in cafe.

The whole Garden Centre seemed untidy and unloved. Carpets were dirty, boxes lying around and a general lack of supervision from staff. We had a coffee in the basic cafe which was weak and overpriced at £3 each. Just a lack of supervision to keep the place looking welcoming and tidy. We will not be visiting again for a while!

Visited the shop and restaurant today whilst travelling to Lindley from Lincolnshire to view a possible new home. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and the food and staff were brilliant . It's not the first time we have visited Birchencliffe and the food and service has been good. We will have no hesitation in visiting again and hopefully it may become our local garden centre

We visited the cafe yesterday and ordered scones and coffees. The scones were like rock buns, hard and dry. We used to love this cafe, but unfortunately over the last couple of years it’s gone down.

Called in to the garden Center around lunchtime on a Sunday, not overly busy, me my wife and grandson (age 4) Grandson decided on the kids picnic box which was a sandwich and various snacks from the refrigerated area which he picked except the sandwich My wife and I decided on the light appetiser and the grilled ciabatta Hers was chicken bites, salad and chips. Mine was bacon cheese and caramelised onions. All fine ordered We had to find our on cutlery, napkins, Sauces etc Then told to pick our grandsons 4 out of the 5 things from the fridge Of which we did, sandwich on its way ?‍♂️ Then our cups of teas arrived (prompt) Then we were sat waiting and waiting Then I noticed that other customers after us were getting their food, My grandson was and kept asking when is my sandwich coming. After 3/4 of an hour I went to the counter and asked where our food was and that other people after us had got there’s. Didn’t seem to care and was told that there is new staff and are sorry and it’s been sorted All of a sudden the staff started preparing our food After an hour the food turned up My grandson with a bit of sliced bread with grated cheese My wife was missing the chips of her dish and bacon and cheese was lacking off my ciabatta all I could taste was very sweet onions And the only thing offered to us was top up teas Will not be returning Absolute shambles Also why on Earth is the chef in his mucky chef outfit serving food Overpriced too Not restaurant more like a greasy spoon cafe

The young, dark haired girl on the till really let the place down. No greeting, no smile, couldn't care less attitude and, as I stood in line waiting for her to take my order, I could see her roll her eyes at one elderly customer! Perhaps needs a bit of training? Otherwise a good meal and all other staff were super helpful, cheerful and professional.

As well as a really nice garden centre, Birchencliffe also has a great restaurant. Today I had the salad, which was fresh, crisp and well presented. Will definitely be returning very soon. The staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are value for money.

I took my aunt and her friend for afternoon tea today and just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff. My aunt's mobility is limited but because the garden centre have 2 wheelchairs available for customer's use it really helped. Disabled parking was close to the entrance and there was a lift to take us to the first or second floor where the cafe was. Once in the cafe the staff were really lovely, so welcoming and they couldn't do enough for us. The afternoon tea was great value. We had a mix of sandwiches, sausage rolls, salad garnish followed by trifle, scones with jam and fresh cream plus cakes and sweet treats. The choice of freshly ground coffee or tea, with free refills, was great too. Everything was fresh and tasty. All in all it was a stress free, lovely afternoon out. Thank you very much to you all ?
