It was rainy day. Me and MY friend went to this restaurant when we go inside the atmosphere was very good fill with melodious music with warm environment and the outdoor staff welcome us with lovely smile, they took us on the table and described about the menu and the price of restaurant was good better than other restaurants who overcharged ,despite the restaurant was very busy there were two staff and they handled very well . We took very famous Gurkha beer as a drink and we had momo as a starter and mix sizzler as a main dish. This was worth it to eat. I suggest every one to eat and definitely visiting again.

Gurka Sizzler is a small restaurant close to the Huddersfield bus station. Parking is in the paid car parks adjacent to the restaurant. Under new management the food quality has not suffered. The menu and style of cooking is based on the north west traditions of India. Some vegetables seem as if they were frozen prior to cooking rather than from fresh. The spices are well rounded without excessive use of chillies. Prices are of the order of £20 per head but rise with alcoholic drinks. There is a desserts menu but these are mostly cold and again based on traditional sweets. For those who don't want to challange their palate there is a limited english menu including for children. Take away and home delivery options are available.Vegetarian options: Daals and various vegetable dishes, all cooked and served hot as opposed to cold.

We are new residents in Huddersfield and we saw how highly rated this restaurant in on reviews we are glad we booked a table on Thursday evening because we might well have been disappointed had we not done so.everything was well up to our expectations and beyond.the welcome, service,food and drink were all great and we thought that the whole meal was served at just the right pace-not too fast and not too slow.The fact that the restaurant was full is a good indication of its well deserved popularity,as was the number of people coming in for Takeaway.we will return.Parking: Parking available on rearside restaurant

This is the second time we have ordered from here, and the quality of food is absolutely excellent. Definitely a cut above the average takeaway curry! All fresh ingredients, including fresh spices, and nothing out of a tin as far as we could tell. Last night, a meat eater, a vegetarian and a vegan all enjoyed their choices immensely!Only one minor grumble, which may be the fault of the Just Eat information: the veg Momo dumplings, advertised as vegan, have paneer (cheese) in them.Sadly no photos, because we ate everything before we thought to take pictures of it !Vegetarian options: Very tasty vegetarian options, cooked with fresh ingredients. Check vegan items directly with the takeaway - don’t rely on written information.

I felt really unwelcome when we arrived. No one smiled or greeted us. I waited a long time, and no one even came to ask about even a drink order. I could see almost every table was still waiting, so due to how dirty and scruffy the place looked and the waiting time. We got up and left, so I can't comment on the food.
We ate in took 2 hours to bring the food we ordered for delivery that got automatically cancelled because they took to long and now we try collection and they say 20 minutes 1 hour later we get the

Visited Gurkha Sizzler last night with a friend before a gig. I'm not from Huddersfield so relied on Google reviews to guide my choice of restaurant. We did know we fancied a curry though!Anyway, we didn't book, but were accommodated easily by the friendly waitress. I've visited far fancier looking Indian restaurants recently, but appearances can be deceptive, because I couldn't fault the service and the food was absolutely outstanding. I had the Matar Paneer and my friend had the Chicken Biryani - both were excellent, as were the ice cold bottles of Gurkha Lager. Loved it. Would go again in a heartbeat.

This is rhe 2nd tike ive ordered from here and wow. Really reasonable prices, stunning, stunning food. Literally perfectly cooked, bursting with flavours, super fast depivery on JE, staff lovely and piping hot.The 1st time was great. This evening was better. Restaurant quality, and superb quality at that, delivered to your door.I have no invested intrest in in even leaving a review, but do believe in credit where its due and as this made my evening, hopefully this will make theirs. Our family visited Gurkha last day. The waiting time was like 2 hours and food quality was very poor. We git some old chicken, which had really bad smell and taste. When we told them, they were not accepting it and not even ready to ask to make the food again. They also told us that there are 2 naans instead the cut a single naan to small pieces and gave us. Really bad and worst experience

I was in huddersfield on a business trip with some friends, and been recommended by our Hotel nearby. We had an amazing time. The music was great and loved the restaurant . But, most importantly the food was very tasty. If we are ever in the area again we’ll be visiting again.
