This place has gone downhill. Extremely disappointed with the food. The lady took half an hour to serve up soggy, underdone fish and the whole meal was underwhelming. The chips were not nice either. I highly suggest you train your staff. I have on previous occasions had decent fish and chips from here but the server was a complete let down. Food tasted awful. Will be not be coming back again….

I visited Mother Hubbard’s on Friday. I had Haddock special, chips and mushy peas.The Haddock was amazing as was the batter.The only downside was the wooden fork, that was as useful as a chocolate fire guard.

Fish and chips was delicious as always. The restaurant is spotlessly clean. The manager and staff were lovely. I didn’t have change for mayo and ketchup so they let me have them anyway ☺️. Thank you for a lovely experience.
