The staff were excellent. The service was spot on..The sea bass was lovely. The only negative was the fish in batter. The fish was lovely and fresh but the batter let it down. Very heavy and doughy . Fish batter should be leight and crispy.

We have eaten here many times and the food is always excellent, very busy on weekends so there is quite a wait on food and the service tends to suffer slightly.Parking: On site parking is plentiful with about 65 spaces, there is a large ramp on the entrance with a 90deg turn so slow down

We had a beautiful meal last night at the Gray Ox. The food and staff were exceptional 10/10. Wonderfully warm, cosy welcoming restaurant and bar. We went at 6pm for an early meal. It was really quite busy upon arrival and throughout the entire time we were there. Wonderful atmosphere from the moment we walked in to the time we left. The staff were absolutely brilliant, extremely attentive and so friendly and polite. Plenty of staff on duty. I have to say that the waiters and waitresses were amazing. They made the whole experience for me. Very polite and cheerful and made us feel very special, almost like we were the only customers there. Anything we asked for was brought to us almost immediately, they could not do enough for us. The only thing I will say is make sure you do not have anything to eat before you go. The meals are fantastic value for money. You cannot complain when it comes to the amount of food you are presented with. The quality of food is exceptional and presentation is great too. We loved it so much we will be going again next week. Thank you so much to all the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Booked a table as we ve received a voucher for 2 course meal as a gift. Arrived here all closed, literally shut. Online shows open today until 11 pm. They’re taking bookings but restaurant is closed. Outside a sign stating we are closed Monday and Tuesday. Very disappointed!

Squeezed our party of 5 in with a big table on the upper side of the pub. They were all very loud and one of their topics of conversation was the poo in one of the children's nappy!? Not conducive to pleasant dining. The beef was very chewy but in general the food was OK. The pub is looking shabby with wallpaper peeling off because of the damp. Given the choice of establishments we have these days, this place wouldn't be one that I would return to. I would suggest that anyone reading this review should try elsewhere too.Wheelchair accessibility: Not good for wheelchair access.

We called in today and had a meal which was lovely. The only problem was when got the bill they had charged us £16 for the burgers when they were £15 on the menu and there was service charge, I didn't see this displayed on the menu. I Don't think we will be calling again.
