Lovely welcoming pub!

Regulars only I'm afraid. If your not be prepared to be mocked by the locals in the corner. And if you do finally get served by the lad at the bar it's not with a smile.Local pub for local people only.

Caters for regulars/locals only if your not you will get ignored by bar staff who are sat in the corner laughing with the regular punters who in turn openly laugh, point and ridicule none regular to make them feel not welcome. When you eventually do get served it's not with a smile and god help you if you dare ask a question about the drinks they offer. Very unwelcoming. It's a shame has it didn't used to be like that and the pub itself is OK. Not local not welcome

Unbelievable food and attention to detail……was treated to the best food followed by one of the best pints I’ve ever had! Company and bar staff were second to none

What an amazing experience in the rising sun. 5 star service. 5 star beer. 5 star company. I once went to the rose and crown in cleckheaton and one must say it’s no where near the quality and sophistication of the rising sun. Highly Recommend. ALAW.

The Rising Sun Pub is a cozy little pub located in the heart of Norristhorpe. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a fireplace in the winter and a beer garden in the summer. The pub serves a wide variety of beers, wines, and spirits, as well as a menu of pub food. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. Overall, the Rising Sun Pub is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink with friends.

This place has a buzz as a place where we enjoy the company of friends, at the end of a working day or at weekends.Question: how do we open the freaking doors to the beer garden with two drinks or more with out waste or the destruction of carpets? Seriously!

Great little pub on the outskirts of Heckmondike, small but perfectly formed bear garden with great views.
