Arrived 30 minutes before the booking time, shown to the bar area to wait. All the tables were dirty & full of empty bottles/glasses, the pub in general is grubby & run down.Stood queuing 10-15 minutes while a customer is allowed to do her own takeaway + meal…. Mac & cheese ran out and wasn’t replaced, pigs in blankets ran out & wasn’t replaced for over 30 minutes meaning some people didn’t get any, Yorkshires were flat & pale. The winter soup contained cinnamon which meant 2 of our party of 6 couldn’t eat it (my apologies if I overlooked it on the menu) . Three people had ordered the brownie for dessert, which you could smell when it arrived it was burnt, couldn’t even put a spoon through it, because it was so hard, this is when we got up & left, leaving our drinks and food, a horrible experience.I understand it was Xmas & you would have been short staffed but for the money you’re asking, people expect a certain level of service, by the way the bar & front of house staff were great.

Went for takeout today was disappointed when my choice of meat (lamb) was not ready so had to have alternative . The lady who served me was very sorry. So I didn't complain. Then she gave my money back for the lamb she couldn't have done more so Thank you to you and the team xxEnjoyed the meal too xx

Splendid food with generous helpings all at a very good price. The Yorkshire puddings were the best I've ever had. But more than this was the extremely friendly, courteous, and efficient service we experienced tonight. Full marks to Chloe for serving the food and Sophie, the waitress and bar lady. Exceptional....well done you two !

I asked for a table as near as possible to carvery and even though tbough thete were tables much nearer we were seated further away. Our food was cold and had to ask for it to be microwaved to be hot enough. But they did give a discounted veg meal instead of meat versionParking: Quite a lot of parking but busy so difficult to park. And only 2 disable spaces and unless you know where they are you will not find them as they are not in main car park

It was really quiet to say it's Christmas party season,Atmosphere : same when went 7 years ago, not date more comfortable.Food: it's a typical carvery although two of my friends complained they meal was was aired rather than hot l found mine OK,Drinks : Best order at the bar and bring it to your table, l say this because they seem l little short staffedValue for money: l would say yes

We booked for 10 of us and everything was spot on, from the bar staff to the chef to the waitress all were fantastic.Food was good and fresh.Made for a great addition to our day before heading off to watch Leeds Knights ice hockey match. We will going back again at the end of January.

I visited with my son Tues 19th Dec 2023 at around 6pm with my son after Christmas shopping.I shall start with the positives - the staff I spoke to were friendly. Now on to the negatives - despite being friendly, and with all due respect it was in an attempt to be helpful, I was misinformed about what was available, I wanted to purchase a side order of Macaroni cheese to be told it was available on the carvery only to be disappointed when it wasn't, the lad on the carvery seemed absolutely disinterested saying "no we have not put any out sorry". We had been told upon entry that it was booking only to sit at a dining table even though the place was half full at best and didn't get any busier so it is a mystery who exactly all the tables were reserved by to require a child to have to sit in the bar area. We ordered carvery sandwiches which in other places has involved a trip to the carvery, instead I had to decide what I wanted blindly and have it brought to the table which was disappointing as I usually decide which meat I would like be how they look on the pass. Then we waited the best part of half an hour for a slice of meat to be put between 2 slices of bread, people arrived after us, visited the carvery and were halfway through their meal before our food arrived. Then when our food arrived everything except the gravy was cold to the touch, the roasties in particular, the only thing they brought us that wasn't cold was the gravy, I assume they hoped we would just pour it straight over everything and that would disguise it, and the bread was not a nice soft teacake but dry hard bread, I went to get some warm roasties from the carvery and got a dollop of mash which was also clap cold so clearly not adhering to hot hold temperature requirements (and probably times, both contravene FSA hygiene standards). The only thing that we ate that came out from the kitchen was the (luke warm at best) meat and the gravy. We never received a check back so I did not get the opportunity to raise this at the time. I heard gentleman on the next table say he wished he had just gone to macdonalds instead then a group of tradies staying in the accomodation were asking about local fish shops as they had eaten there earlier in the week and wouldn't be again so this is clearly not an isolated incident.Disappointing and underwhelming to say the least.Interesting to note the positive comments here read as if they know the staff personally. They should be thankful I wasn't their mystery shopper that would have been a huge fail and bonuses gone although at least head office would know how poorly the place operates.

First visit tonight at Toby Carvery Bruntcliffe Rd Morley for my husband and I. From first arriving to leaving everything was fantastic. We were shown straight to our table, asked if we would like any drinks and then went for our food. The food was really lovely, as were all the staff. But a special 'thank you' to James who mostly looked after us. He seemed like a genuinely lovely guy, very approachable, happy, funny and professional. I asked if he would be able to put some turkey and a couple of bits of veg I had left in a box to take home for our dog. He even asked if we would like anything else adding. Nothing was too much trouble for him. So thank you again James, it was very much appreciated and we will definitely be returning ?

Book nearly every year for a family christmas meal 48 booked for today all paid for a 3 course meal, mushrooms starters came out twice raw and cold, waited so long everyone had carvery before starter’snot the bar staff or assistant managers fault, they dropped right in at the deep end !!!!Normally fantastic, but highly let downwill not be back

Visited for the festive menu, the Carvery meats must have been out all day as extremely tough, the beef was impossible to cut and the portion size was very small. The vegetables were over cooked, the parsnips looked like mash potatoes and we had to ask for the cranberry sauce to be topped

We travel about 6 miles just to come here! My little girl is CMPA and they are so cautious and caring so that she doesn't miss out on pudding! The chef came out to us and made her a special jam dairy free sponge and vegan custard. The staff are so friendly and welcoming! The chefs and carvers are all very professional and friendly. If you want a cheap and cheerful Sunday carvery with a lovely atmosphere and helpful staff this place is definitely a must! I highly recommend it!

Food was tasty enough although the veg was way too overdone for my taste. It feels like this entire building needs a good refurb and refresh though. The lighting is awful! Staff were nice and friendly.Kid-friendliness: Kids meal was very good value and included icecream!
