The Milk Churn is very close from my house, my parents were visiting from abroad and they wanted to have a wall so I suggested them to go for an ice cream at The Milk Churn. They walled there and ordered their ice cream however when they needed to pay the girl at the till pointed to a sign that says "only card payments" my parents don't speak English so they could not understand what was she saying, at this point my father was already eating his ice cream as he was the first served. The girl at the till did not even try to explain to them what she was trying to say but instead in an disrespectful and aggressive manner reached to my Dad from inside the serving area and in front of everyone snatched the ice cream off his hands, my mum is 65 years old and my Dad is 74 years without being able to speak or understand a word of English they felt embarrassed as everyone was looking and left the place with the eyes of everyone on them. A few days later I went back to try to explain to them what was happened and why my parents could not understand and I just found the same aggressive behaviour from this girl and even worse, nobody from management intervened to calm her down whilst she was just constantly repeating to me "is only card payments and is on the board" without listening or letting me talk. So, this used to be one of our favourite places to go for an ice cream but now I don't know what to think I found this incident disrespectful, far from kind (considering the customer were 2 elderly people) and I could even think that there is a bit of racism and because of this I am giving a "terrible" score.

Exceptional ice cream. Other things are available but you can start to loose focus on the main event- the ice cream. Pity there aren’t better price breaks for 2 or 3 scoops….

We had rocky road, cream tea, hot chocolate and a mocha. The mocha was a bit bland. There were plenty of books and some toys to keep children amused indoors and a nice play area outside. Would visit again if in the area.

Great place, the staff are friendly and it’s very clean! Outside play area and tables and no cows inside! With superb choice of ice creams!

First the gelato is delicious. So intense and incredible flavors. I had chocolate, ricotta and fig, and cookies and cream. The servers Shauna and Callagan were wonderful and explained the farm and the business. They are opened in winter 11 to 4p. I wish later for dessert expect you can take it to go earlier for your freezer! We enjoyed the ice cream and took a scone and brownie to go!

Staff are absolutely brilliant and food is delicious ?. Thank you to all the staff who were so lovely with my Grandaughter today especially the young lady with the dark hair. You were extremely patient with her when she decided she wanted to pay for her own drink. Thank you all .

I have visited here regularly over the past year as it is lovely for children. However, we usually visit on a weekend afternoon and the staff are already clearing up 30-45 minutes before closing. This means being sat amongst tables with the chairs on top while the staff mop around you. Once we arrived 30 minutes before closing (you don't exactly need long to eat ice cream) and all the vacant tables had the chairs on top. No one offered to help sort out a table despite me juggling two ice creams and a two year old. The outdoor play area is great but the toys inside are in desperate need of a clean and are significantly depleted from last year. The toys for children are a huge reason for visiting so it would be great to see this addressed - I appreciate this is a cost for the business but given almost all of the people I have seen there have young children surely it would be worth the investment. The ice cream is delicious with a good selection of flavours - I want the Milk Churn to continue to be a weekly treat but don't want to feel unwelcome and rushed out well before closing.

Didn't eat, had a Gelato. 2nd visit. Talked to staff about using Animals as an attraction to draw more visitors and was informed as to the complications surrounding this. Otherwise, excellent.Kid-friendliness: Outside activities to keep kids occupied and video showing the animals if the weathers bad and they have to stay in the cafe.Parking: Maybe a top up of hardcore once the 1st load has settled, as there's quite alot of puddles if it rains.Wheelchair accessibility: Would imagine it can be difficult getting between the carpark and kids play area, after this ot serms quite easy.

Lovely simple cafe, friendly staff. No oat or dairy alternative milk of any kind which seems very odd these days? Sandwiches and ice cream were very tasty. Great indoor and outdoor play area for kids.

This cafe is good if you just want a quick stop off for a light lunch or tea and cake. There is also a small play area outside for young children, but nothing else to see and do here. The ice cream is lovely - can recommend the Ferrero Rocher one.It is dog friendly too.

Lovely little gem of a place...It can get a bit loud at times with barking dogs and screaming kids on a weekend which can be quite a bit of putting.! They don't always get your order right too...They will take your money and then tell you after the fact that they have run out of jacket potatoes for example...they need to get these little irritating habits sorted out..
