We came for my daughters birthday and had an amazing time. The staff made it extra special for us and the food was brilliant. A well organised kitchen. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff for a great day.

Overpriced food and not outstanding, especially for how much it costs. Steak was overcooked and my partner’s burger was bland. Only nice things was the chips.

Always a pleasure eating here. 5*.Once again the meal was excellent and the service impeccable. We had the roast beef plus all the trimmings of course. Pumpkin soup starter and lemon possett dessert. Thank you Tyler, Benz, Helen, Davis and Elanore. Happy looking chefs too. Thank you all.

Good simple relatively upscale restaurant. The food tastes great while still remaining simple and the service is quick attentive and friendly. The highlights of the meal were the pork croquet starter which is highly recommended and the chips that come along side the steaks which are perfect. Definitely a great place for dinner.

Absolutely idyllic garden with such potential but the brasserie is a bit like a department store restaurant in ambience. The temporary Covid (?) shelter is a blot. Tables were sticky. My wine glass was imprinted with someone else’s lips. But the food was pleasant enough.

Did not stay in hotel . We had Sunday lunch in the Brazzerie Service was good , attentive and very pleasant staff . However , the food was average really not what I expected from a five star hotel be it in the brazzerie or not . The meat as in the chicken I had and the beef my husband had was very well cooked , but the veg , potatoes, gravy was not good . The puddings also were not what I would expfor that standard of hotel . Extremely disappointed

We had dinner for two at the Brasserie and whirl the food was good it was by no means amazing. Our drinks alone came to £60. This included a glass of Prosecco and a G&T for £24, 2 glass of wine for £ 30 and a bottle of still water for £5.4. This I feel is quite steep especially Charing that amount for a bottle that amount for a bottle of still water. Overall experience I think is a 3 rating. We had booked a table for 7pm however as they were limited with stuff we had to wait almost 45 minutes. With so many options to chose I would say they need to do better

Booked lunch yesterday for husbands birthday with mother in law. Turned up on time 12.30, restaurant not busy. Showed to table, decided on the al la carte menu, orders taken reasonably promptly - starters asparagus with crab, terrine and scotch egg, nice but not overwhelming. We then had to wait at least 25 minutes for the plates to be cleared even though staff where passing our table regularly. Then we had another long wait for our main courses, had to ask a staff member how long, surprisingly it turned up not long after, luke warm and disappointing. My husband was totally fed up at this point, so I asked for the 'bill' and said that I was not going to pay the service charge of 12.5%. At this point I'm assuming it was the restaurant manager came to speak to me, I told her about the above. She apologised and reduced the 'bill'. A very disappointing experience.

Had lunch solo in the Brasserie and felt a little bit disappointed. The food was fine but the service was a bit abrupt - I had wanted and expected a lovely relaxing lunch with an opportunity to unwind and eat some delicious food. A gentleman behind the bar seemed a bit rushed - I was the first person there and the restaurant was completely empty - but the young lad who showed me to my seat and gave me the menu was charming and tried really hard - 5 stars for him. Unfortunately the guy who seemed rushed came to take my order - may have been the restaurant manager? I said something along the lines of "It all looks absolutely delicious - I can't decide" - hoping I might get some guiding and be talked through the menu - but his brusque reply was "Well you'll have to decide". The whole experience felt like I was in a cafeteria rather than the restaurant of an elegant country hotel. I had a little stroll round afterward and the pool area and gardens were stunning. I also wandered into the main hotel for a little look round and was warmly greeted and wished a Happy Easter by the super friendly staff there. It was a shame that the restaurant was so hit and miss.

Nice place to be for a quick bite to eat for a Saturday lunch.

Having stayed here a couple of times and loved it, we stopped in to check out the place as a possible destination for a family event. Sadly on our date only the brasserie was open. The menu is good and the service pleasant, However we watched our food make the pass and then be placed back on the kitchen side of the pass for another several minutes. The staff during this time avoided eye contact, I was at the brink of pursuing them when the food arrived. Apparently a problem with the pizza. Two fish dishes, burger and scorch eggs were left to stew whilst the pizza was remade - would it have been better to give us the choice of having our food freshly cooked and have a party member wait?Instead they decided to just let it ripen. As we had watched this happen we received an apology and a new portion of scotch eggs. But rather shoddy for such an establishment. The starters were super though

Had lunch at the brasserie with my wife and mum, who's 96 now. Staff walking through the car park were very helpful in guiding us.We all had a range of starters, some salad and pudding. The duck parfait was sublime, the Scotch egg a disappointment. The salad was excellent as was the cheese board though, as all too often, served far too cold.Good service. £154 inc bottle of wine.

Fantastic food and service. The setting is beautiful too and it's worth taking a stroll around the grounds.
