We were looking for an independent café/tea rooms for breakfast and this was absolutely perfect. Friendly staff, excellent food and service, couldn't fault anything. We'll see you again tomorrow!

Absolutely love grabbing a slice of their vegan cake. The iced ginger is our absolute favourite. Haven't eaten inside as yet but the breakfasts look amazing so will definitely stop to eat in as soon as possible. Keep up the good work, you are a very valued hub in the Box community.

Often picked up a coffee here on our walks during covid, now open it is nice to see people able to sit at tables and enjoy.Everyone is very friendly and helpful.Enjoyed a very nice english breakfast this week. Well worth a visit for anyone7th Apr. Lovely walk along the valley then a cup of coffee while sat in the sun watching the world go by.Great service, very friendly as usual.17/10. Stopped for a coffee on our valley river walk. Birdhouse was very busy with lots of people enjoying the last of our summer sun days. Even though they were a bit rushed off their feet both the ladies were putting out duper food and great service

Always very tasty food here and great portions ? the staff are lovely. Unfortunately, it's right next to the main A4,which of course can't be helped, but they do have some outdoor seating. Indoor seating is quirky and cute. We're regulars,love it.?

Smoky beans with black olive tapenade and feta cheese (usually served on sourdough, but they very kindly replaced that with a lovely wrap because I don't like sourdough) This dish is SO tasty, every different flavour complimenting the others, really loved it and couldn't recommend it more! Staff as always lovely Folkington canned drinks good too!
Staying nearby we thought we’d give the cafe a try for Saturday morning breakfasts. All four of us had the full English ( sausages extra ! ) breakfast which was very good but best of all was the service from the really helpful, young servers. Recommended.

It says open until 3 online, but if you ask for food at 2:30 they seem annoyed, as say they're getting ready to close to pick up their children from school. I think they should change what they say are their opening hours.
