A delightful and simple pub offering amazing quality food and a nice environment to enjoy a pint. I find the staff are helpful and knowledge, whether it be a drinks recommendation or information on the menu, they know their trade and have been a pleasure to be served by. I will happily visit here again, and have enjoyed my time at this pub. 10/10 would recommend to a freind.

I recently visited a local pub, about which I had previously heard a mix of opinions. My own experience offered some insights worth sharing.The pub features two separate bars, an interesting aspect that influenced my visit. My family and I were seated in what I'll refer to as the 'secondary bar', which had a sign clearly instructing patrons to order from the 'main bar'. This setup was initially understandable. However, the practicality of it became questionable when, despite being visibly seated in the secondary bar, we were required to collect our drinks and snacks from the main bar. The landlady, busy attending the bar, did not offer to bring our order to the bar closer to us, despite being aware of our location. This oversight necessitated multiple walks between the rooms, which detracted from the convenience and comfort of our visit.In terms of interaction, the landlady was noticeably more engaged with her dog than with us, the customers. While a bit of pet interaction adds a homely feel, a balance with customer engagement is crucial.The service was prompt, yet it lacked the warmth and attentiveness that characterises a welcoming pub atmosphere. A little more personal touch in service could go a long way.Overall, while the pub has its charm, the experience highlighted areas for improvement, especially in terms of customer service and making better use of the dual-bar setup to enhance customer convenience.

Spent a good 6 hours here, playing board games with my partner for my birthday. Absolutely amazing staff, so friendly!The food was incredible! So beautiful and flavoursome! They have a new cake called a hummingbird cake, which is absolutely divine. They have vegan options, I highly recommend the strawberry vegan ice cream, best I've ever had.We even changed dinner plans to stay here instead, and wow! Was it a good idea! The lamb with potatoes was perfect, and the hamburger, proper homemade burger, and the caramelised onion was the perfect taste pallete, so simple yet so good!Compliments to the chef!I can not recommend The Hare & Hounds enough!Thank you for such a lovely day.

Whoever owns the pub needs to give the manageress, or bar staff more training on customer relations. 17th August at 1.30 we popped in for coffee. She was on her phone and ignored us in the front bar. We walked to the back bar and when she finally saw us, told us to go to the front bar. We had to repeat our order. Then told could only pay cash if we had the right money as barely any change in the till. She made no apology at anytime, and was brusque to the point of rudeness. We were made to feel as if we were in the way. Only one other person in the pub at the time, so hardly busy.

About a dozen off us booked for lunch and were surprised that the lady barperson was also taking orders and serving food all on her own. Full marks to her as she did a wonderful job of serving excellent food to us all very quickly and was very attentive to our needs. The Hare and Hounds in Corsham is well worth a visit.

Went for Sunday lunch absolutely outstanding and the value for money was excellent. Definitely we will be going back and would recommend to anybody and everybody it was so lovely.

Very poor knowledge from the woman serving me today of real ale. Was served a half of Plain Ales real ale (name of beer escapes me) but was extremely flat and lifeless . Bar person insisted real ale was supposed to be served like that .... unfortunately for her I am a very experienced real ale drinker and this is certainly not the case ! Also she was quite dismissive of my protestations. I also work in a pub and frankly this FOH team member needs training on real ale and how to interact with customers. Very poor pub and service.
