I was dubious of having a 'set menu' with limited choice but wow the food was incredible. Melt in your mouth beef with well thought out side of vegetables to accompany it. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful and the open fire place added to the cosy feeling. The staff were helpful and friendly and never did you feel rushed to finish.

One of the best vegetarian meals I've had. Such a pleasure to find a restaurant / chefs that allow the vegetables to be cooked to bring out their very best flavours and for them to stand centre stage on the plate. A huge and welcome contrast to so many restaurants / chefs may use plant based ingredients but feel the need to ape the taste, texture and appearance of meat. Here there is the added bonus of friendly service, a really pleasant ambience and the opportunity to stroll around their walled kitchen garden.

We are just on the way back from Pythouse kitchen and what an experience this was! Food is outstanding, fresh, innovative yet familiar flavours cooked to perfection. My chicken dish was a masterclass in chicken cookery. Fino cocktail was amazing ! Great, cosy atmosphere of old farm house. Service was superb, lady who served us was fabulous, attentive and friendly. Overall fantastic experience and for the price they are charging it was an absolute feast!

My wife and I had the most splendid lunch here last Sunday and we were instantly mesmerised by the wonderful atmosphere, view of the garden, the fire... and the wonderful attentive, friendly service from Natalie, Freya and Simon. The food was of superb quality and there was almost too much of it - so although not cheap, it was worth it. A great place to lose yourself in convivial company for a few hours. Magic! Simon Holder.
My partner and I were travelling to Glastonbury and wanted somewhere to stop for lunch and in our research we came across Pythouse Kitchen Garden and what a find it was!!The location and venue is exceptional - even on a grey, rainy day it was the perfect place to be for a fantastic meal.The staff were incredible, attentive and most importantly nailed the timing between courses. They provided the perfect amount of interaction and personal touch whilst also allowing you to enjoy your meal. It truly feels like a family run venue which is special.The food matches all the other 5* aspects of this restaurant. The story behind the restaurant, how the food is sourced is amazing and they bring that quality through to what is on the plate.I have already recommended it to friends and will continue to do so and we will certainly be back.Thanks so much for a great experience!

Wow! Would go so far to say the best Sunday roast we have ever experienced. The team are amazing, super welcoming and warm. The restaurant is warm and cosy with a rustic feel which is refreshing. The food, well, outstanding. Great quality products, seasonally sourced, perfectly executed and large portions and the option to take away leftovers.

Well worth the drive into the countryside. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff and very tasteful decor. All a wonderful setting for the most interesting and varied menu ,all dishes made with great ingredients and great skill, delivering satisfying and unique flavourful food. Shared starters, main courses to suit everyone with seasonal vegetables, meats cooked to perfection and intense flavours, with a lovely selection of tasty desserts to finish up… And your canine fur babies are also catered for with their own bowl of water at their table!!!

My husband and I are both vegan and we can honestly say we had the best vegan lunch we have ever had - it was superb. We sometimes visit places that are only serving vegan food, both in the UK and when abroad, and this was better than some of those that specialise in vegan cuisine. Well done. We have decided this will be a quarterly visit for us.
