Alas, my experience was not good. A very intransigent sales manger would not alter/postpone/refund our booking despite a major accident befalling me a week before our planned 2 night stay. So, with broken ribs and great discomfort we made the tripMost hotels would be more sympathetic and pragmatic than thisDespite polite attention there was plenty about which to complain including a noisy, poorly ventilated bedroom which, surprisingly, was not made up on our days thereThe only stairs were very steep and ill lit- most unsuitable for older peopleThere was no immediate car parkAttention at breakfast was sparseDinner and drinks were expensiveSubsequently, following my review, I received the most aggressive of correspondence from the Managing Director of The Chickpea Group of Inns, an amalgamation of Wiltshire based innsWe would not stay here again or at any of the other inns within the group

An independent pub chain that takes coffee and customers experience seriously. While visiting family in Wiltshire I stayed at 2 of the Chickpea pubs. The first was the Grosvenor Arms. Warmly greeted, drink in hand. Then up to my room. Absolutely spotless, fresh homemade cookies, big bed, BBC4 music hour on. Bliss. The coffee station was filled with their own ground coffee, a french press and fresh milk. No cheap sachets here. Which after the best night's sleep, was the perfect start to my day.I dined here in the evening - the wine and steak would be hard to beat. Breakfast was also fantastic - opting for Eggs Benny (Benedict) perfection! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made me as a solo traveller, feel right at home. Without a doubt I will return.

Our dining experience at The Grosvenor Arms was exceptional from start to finish. We indulged in a delightful array of dishes, including soup and croquettes, a lamb roll, and a steak, all of which were incredibly delicious. The service was prompt and attentive, ensuring our needs were met with efficiency and care. The warm atmosphere added to the overall charm of the place, making it a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a great culinary experience!Rooms: YesNearby activities: YesSafety: YewWalkability: YesFood & drinks: YesNoteworthy details: Yes

A lovely, warm, cosy country pub. Friendly staff and a roaring fire in the hearth greeted us on our arrival. Our room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. There were 2 large chocolate cookies and 2 bags of filter coffee waiting for us in our room, plus a selection of tea. Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious with plenty of choice. I would definitely recommend the Grosvenor Arms. Great value for money too!

Excellent service! We ordered beef burger and cauliflower salad. The burger was brilliant but the salad was a little bland for my liking. Portion sizes were generous.

Booked here for lunch on the Saturday between Christmas and New Year. Food and staff were amazing. We were a little late to our table and ordering (catching up and travel excitement) but the team were very accommodating and helpful. We didn’t feel rushed at all and the food was served with good speed. The haggis scotch egg is to be recommended but honestly everything was lovely from the pork loin, lamb rump to the fish &chips. Dogs very welcomed too.

This is a great pub with a good menu, and traditional gastro meals, but also some surprises, which are all good. The Menu is well priced and the drinks selection is fine as well. There is a discretionary service charge which is a little steep, which I would expect more from a three rosette restaurant, but obviously you can remove this if you want to, and this shouldn't detract you from visiting.
