I and family have used lees fish and chips for many years , steve and vicky have handed over the business to new owners ..First visit last week..Great customer service..lovely and clean ..now the meal...chips were great ,curry sauce was out of this world...unfortunately the cod was dry and batter was like carboard....Will be returning with the hope that the standards this fish and chip shop have had for so many years returns.

Arrived 5 mins before closing. Food was freshly cooked for me. Service was great, they were very chatty and made me feel welcome. Food great, fish not greasy and portion size very good.

Such a shame to see the old owners have left. Cod and chips and cheese pasty and chips £16.40. Cod was dripping in fat, chips were undercooked and tasteless and the pasty was like eating cardboard. Horrible atmosphere as well. I won’t be going back.

Under new management so benefit of the doubt they need to get to learn a few bits here and there.Fish was great, big, and just as good if not better than previous owners as it wasn't as greasy.Downfall was the chips. We ordered just after their 5pm opening and it just seemed like they were lunchtime chips, I obviously can't confirm that though.Guy in there was very friendly and clearly a decent person. Unfortunately I have to rate the product which most was fine, the chips were just really rather poor.

Had fantastic fish and chips tonight at Lees. Freshly cooked - piping hot still when we got home 20 mins later. Batter was excellent. Fish was the most enormous piece. Battered sausage also very good. Staff were friendly and lively. Highly recommend. Open later than most - almost opposite McD s
