I was starving and staying on the outskirts of Melksham. No where else was open and I was grateful to find the Bear, the staff were lovely and I ordered the burger \\u0026 a lager. It arrived so quickly too.\\nSadly not the best I've tasted for the price. More fast food flavours! That said they dont advertise as a gastro dining experience so I'm not sure what I was expecting. Perhaps cheaper... Would still go there for a drink though!

Very friendly atmosphere and the staff are amazing the food was cooked exactly how I asked the beer was fresh and cold really enjoyed the night I will definitely be going back at some point but I can't explain enough how hard working and friendly the staff are definitely in my top 3 JD wetherspoons keep up the great work and see you soon ?

The online app wouldn't allow any kids meals to be purchased. Staff looked very rushed off their feet \\u0026 understaffed, yet still managed to deliver food in a timely manor.\\nBut was hard to ask staff for anything as they were so busy.\\nRugby was noisy, very sticky wetherspoons magazines \\u0026menus.\\nFood was okay, BBQ sauce on burger was a lot sweeter than normal.

The food is a bit grim sometimes, the onion rings are a bit soggy and they give you no where near enough chips. The decorations are lovely and they have a wife range of seating options. The worker 'Kerrie' was very polite and very helpful.

Me and my partner came here for lunch today (12/1/22) wasn't very busy as it was a Wednesday afternoon so food was really quick and very tasty I had a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw.My partner had the past Al fraydo she said it was good.\\n\\nWas very good value for money and the staff are very friendly.

Seems shabby, could do with a refurb. Had tuna mayonnaise jacket potato, but the tuna didn't have mayonnaise, there was a sauce in a pot that was runny and tasted odd. Also salad leaves weren't fresh as were going brown. Hot chocolate tasted good ?

Great place to have a full English breakfast at a bargain price! Just popped down to The Bear in Melksham. Till 11th Nov '20 you can enjoy a full English breakfast and unlimited coffee for £4 till 11.30 am, Mon-Wed! Food was nice, coffee good, I surfed using their Wi-Fi, what's not to like? I went about 10.30am, was really quiet, they are very covid aware and you need to scan via an app your details for track and trace. Really enjoyable brekkie!
