“We wet to the Crown as a large family group on Friday lunchtime: the service was impeccable, the food was VERY good (innovative, interesting and tasty), and I couldn't recommend them more. A really good experience.”

“A beautiful place. They’ve nailed the atmosphere. More of a food pub than a drinking one it seemed. Great food and good value. The Guinness and chocolate is a siren song of a pudding, calling me back even now, just a few hours later.”

“A fantastic old cosy pub that serves great Thai food. Friendly, informal feel with a very welcoming atmosphere. Great value and good size portions. Worth booking as it is quite a small restaurant and I'm sure they are always busy. We will definitely return next time we are staying in Salisbury.”

“A nice pub in a quieter part of Salisbury. Opened out, with plenty of seating inside and out. Good selection of beers and friendly staff.”

“Incredible all over , can not fault this place and the lady that owns it is extremely hard working ! Plus the dog Tilly is the best ? we came across it after doing a local Geocaching loop!I read a review stating that the building was a little "tired" in which I had to laugh the building is over 400 years old ?Personally I thought the building was beautiful and very well maintained , they even have the added bonus of a skittle alley out the back.Definitely worth a visit if in the area!Parking: Lots of space for parkingKid-friendliness: Good selection of food suitable for kids , also the pub has a little skittle alley which could keep them busy for hours.”

“We stopped in for some light food after an afternoon trip to the cinema on a Friday evening. It was pretty busy but we managed to get a table in the main bar area very quickly. The staff were busy but friendly. It took a while for them to clear the previous occupiers' glasses and plates, but otherwise the service was good. The food was surprisingly delicious! I didn't have high expectations but the small plates were very nice, especially the massaman cauliflower and the harissa broccoli.I had non-alcoholic spritz which was excellent. The crowd was a very strange cross section of people but it actually worked.Vegetarian options: There were a lot of good vegetarian small plate options”

“Had a really good lunch in a big group. Food was great and it's a great atmosphere, but I had a dodgy pint of real ale (going sour). When I took it back, the barman questioned my integrity and judgement ... after some toing and froing, the pint was reluctantly replaced, and 10 minutes later, the beer was taken off and the line cleaned: no apology was offered! IF pubs don't listen to customers, how can they know the small things that need improving? The waiter and waitress for our group were very friendly and 'on it', but this experience soured the occasion unfortunately.”
