Wonderful friendly staff at dinner and breakfast. Basic room but such good value.

Breakfast is an unlimited buffet but disappointing in the low quality of the various food aspects. The menu promises orange juice, but it is labelled Tropical Juice and tastes horribly sweet. More like a squash that comes in a bottle that you add water to. Disappointing that the only decaf coffee is Nescafe sachets. No fancy cappuccino or anything like that.

Please don't book to eat here, I've just sat there for an hour waiting for a starter to arrive, ended up walking out and I wasn't the only one to do so! If I could give less then 1 star I would. I can't comment on the quality of the food or the service because I didn't receive any.

Food was ok but not that hot, service was very slow, check your receipt as I was over charged several times - noticed the drinks at the time but didn't see the whole extra meal that had been put on.. won't bother with here again...

I can say I had good food.But.. don't go where there is a busy time.Service is horrible. We were there for two hours for Sunday roast: missed the Yorkshire pudding. Dessert mixed up.Need more stuff!

Staying in the Premier Inn next door, I booked breakfast. A generous buffet, but the bacon was pretty soggy and tasteless and the fried eggs were hard. The black pudding was unexpected and very good indeed. My only contact with staff was when I arrived, and that was friendly and efficient. It met my expectations.

Not good. Long wait time for food, plus very cold in restaurant. Seems no heating was turned on. Had to eat food - when it eventually arrived - with coats on! To top it all off, the card machine declined payment twice. Shan't be revisiting. Shame, as it used to be good.

This is take 2 for me, was here last a couple of years ago and gave it 1 star, surely its changed...... far far from it, simply put...shocking.This is categorically the worsed premiere inn connected pub/reseraunt out there. 20mins waiting to be sat and a drink, 40 mins waiting for a starter just to be told there's been a problem and I can reorder if I want to...... where is the management when supporting these young staff if they are making mistakes? If you stay next door, they are great but do not rely on this pub for your meals. I would say, I hope this is a one off....but it hasn't been this is the second time. Whitbread....get a grip. Either get more support in here or get new management in. Something is deffinatly not working!
