Been ordering from here for 15 years, they have always been the best Chinese in the area especially their curry sauce and i would always rave about them. Unfortunately things seem to have changed drastically over the past year and they've even changed their curry sauce recipe which is what made them stand out above the rest in the area amongst other things. It's such a shame because I have now resorted to looking elsewhere for my Chinese takeaway fix.

If your open till 10. Your open to 10. Don't turn all off and push the brush round in kitchen and then turn all on again as someone comes in at 9.30 for take away and cook it on full just to get it out of door. Chicken balls dark brown on outside dough on inside still tacky and un-cooked. Chowmien chicken burnt on outside and has the burnt tarnished taste. I think i will give it a miss next time.

I can honestly say this is the worst Chinese I have ever had. Food was awful. crispy beef tasted off. chips were undercooked. Singapore chow mein had next to no meat or prawn just over cooked noodles and far too many chilli's.genuinely would not recommend it was terrible.

This must have changed hands? Excellent service and very tasty takeaway, we both had Singapore Vermicelli noodles extra spicy (because in some places it can be a bit bland), this was exceptionally nice.. Packed with meat and prawns and with layers of flavours not just heat. It's up there with the best takeaway Singapore noodles I've had and the place deserves to have a good review based on my one visit so far. Very friendly staff and a very quick cooked to order service.

First they cheat us with boiled bits of chicken in their curry now they have changed their curry sauce which used to be so good i would travel from southampton to pick a couple up but now it is terrible. I have been going there for 28+ years and in that time the curries never changed, until the last year or so where they have been skimping on quality using non roasted chicken pieces and now a curry sauce you can get from anywhere. Have they lost their families recipe? Safe to say they will be losing many customers now.. i’m one of them.
Overly expensive for the quality. Yesterday ordered prawn toast to find many of them empty inside with no prawn! They forgot sauce with chicken balls and also no mushrooms in chicken and mushroom curry! Standards are so low and it’s so expensive. Chilli beef was so dry and over cooked. Avoid.

So disappointed, my family have been going to Phoenix for over 20 years and have always rated them. They were the best Chinese takeaway I’d ever had. However, they have recently changed the curry sauce, salt and pepper chicken, crispy chilli beef along with other dishes. We’ve ordered on two occasions since the changes to see if it may have been an off day, but both have been extremely disappointing. Will sadly not be ordering again x

Well after buying food from here for over 15 years the time has come. The meal tonight was dry tasteless and with no effort. I have eaten the following numerous times . Roast chicken rice ... Has now changed to a dry breast of tasteless chicken in brown sauce. Crispy chilli beef... bland in flavour and had no colour. Rice clumpy and dry. Chicken balls half cooked and dough like wet plaster. Im sure they have changed hands of chef's... Lookong now for a new takeaway...

After all the years of having the best curry sauce I get home to find theve changed it and the large pancake roll they used to do isn't far off the size of a fish finger so I'm done will be ordering from somewhere else from now on!

Sent salt and pepper chicken rather than mustard chilli chicken.When I called to tell them he hung up so I called back to be told this was the correct dish. Tou can see the salt all.over it ....gave them a second chance won't get a third , food was shocking this evening!
