A regular coffee stop in the Market Square. Friendly staff, good cakes, good value. We'll be back - many

Used to go when I was in college and rediscovered it this Xmas holiday. My favourite place to sit and get uni work done. Strong coffee, outdoor seating to watch the world go by and friendly staff once you’re a regular. Couldn’t recommend more, sooooo much better than giving your money to a soulless corporate cafe like costa or Nero

Wow, first impressions. Savoury. Highly recomend for anyone to visit this place.

Italian coffee shop. Sells cakes pastries and ice cream as well. The coffee was strong and smooth, but maybe 25% more expensive than typical coffee shops. In my view it was worth it - they know their coffee. I spotted frozen croissants being taken out of the freezer, so I would not call it an artisan Baker.

The coffee was nice and the sausage roll and croissant were acceptable. However, the outside seating areas, front and back were mainly smokers which was most unpleasant for us non-smokers. Even one of the cafe workers came outside and stood near our table blowing smoke in our direction. I know we could’ve sat inside, but on a nice day why should we. It would be much better if they had one area for smokers and not both the front and back seating. I doubt I’ll return.

Mediocre coffee and the breakfast selection wasn’t very good.

Well done lattes, the mocha was good although not great (the cocoa used could be better). The chocolate mousse and the bougatsa were something else, definitely worth a try!Dietary restrictions: Several alternatives to cow milk offered.

Way overpriced, cups of tea too big and and very weak, little cake was £5 , sausage roll was nearly £5 just go to Greggs

Position ideal on the marker square to enjoy the sunshine. But unfortunately this cafe seems to go out of its way to encourage smokers (by putting ashtrays on all the outside tables) Fed up with buying a delicious coffee only to have the taste and enjoyment ruined by stinking smoke from people smoking or vaping 3 foot away. Won't be going back.
