Came here in the evening for dinner at the restaurant.We both chose the pork belly dish with sides of triple cooked chips and tenderstem broccoli. The dishes were absolutely fantastic and the service was brilliant.Thank you for a lovely evening.

Excellent restaurant in a very beautiful hotel. Ambience, service and food were perfect. Well-spaced tables. And no dogs allowed in the restaurant - hurray! (for info, dogs are allowed in the informal bar area but, in my recent lunch experience, it was a bit of a barkfest).

What a beautiful place to eat! We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely garden. Our starters came out quickly and then sadly our mains took about 40 mins to come out after that. Turns out they had forgotten about us.. and to be fair no one checked on us we had to Chase them. I had the fish and chips which was really tasty!!!! Would 100% have again !!! Annoyingly we had to chase for the bill, but it was alright we just paid inside instead :) I think maybe we were just a little forgotten about because we were sat outside. Everyone seemed friendly and I don’t think it was an intentional thing

We had Sunday lunch here and was really happy with the food. Very tasty sirloin beef lunch. Our drink order was wrong and we ordered a 2 meat Sunday lunch but got one meat. However we were not charged extra. A beautiful place in a stunning setting. Definitely want to book a room one day.

My wife and I called in at the Hare and Hounds for lunch today. We both ordered the fish and chips which was nice although pricey. I then asked the waiter about the Elton Mess dessert and based on his description I ordered it. Big mistake. Two strawberries cut in half around a spoonful of whipped cream and four tiny pieces of meringue placed on top and served in a bowl. The price for this was £10 Astronomical for what it was. When the waiter came back to clear the table he said I can tell you weren’t impressed. When I went to pay at the bar a service charge had been added to the bill which was not mentioned anywhere on the menu. I will not be going back.

A friend and I visited for Sunday lunch. Food was beautiful and 10/10 to all the attentive staff that were working today (26th Feb). The hotel, restaurant and ground are lovely and very clean. I will be back. Thank You

A wonderful Sunday lunch for a group of 6. Beautifully cooked food, very attentive and good humoured serving staff. Nut allergy catered for and great information available via a QR Code. Only negative would be to say please don’t take some empty plates until everyone has finished eating. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Lovely hotel but very disappointing limited dinner menu. Only steak was a ribeye 18oz. A lady may like a 6/8oz fillet or a nice light risotto.

I always eat in the restaurant at least once during my stay, and it has always been a very pleasant experience. Good food and fine wine is a must for a relaxing stay in the Cotswolds.
We ate here when staying at the hotel. The food and the service were excellent with plenty of room between tables due to Covid protocols. Definitely worth visiting.

Excellent time in the garden for drinks followed by food in the restaurant. The food is great, well priced! We really enjoyed the starters and pork main. The steak could be a better cut for this type of restaurant (I.e a fillet) well priced drinks and wine! We do recommend you book for the restaurant as due to a shortage of staff we saw they sent multiple people away who hadn’t booked even though there is plenty of space and the hotel was not in full capacity.

We were staying at the Hare and Hounds other hotel in Tetbury and decided to stop of here on our long walk. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our lunch of cheese ploughman's were very nice with lovely fresh bread. It was nice to have a choice of real ale to wash it down and set us up for the walk back into Tetbury. Would recommend and visit if we are in the area again.

Well prepared for Covid restrictions. Helpful caring staff. Excellent food, breakfast particularly good, menus may change each day (yes they do have white wine, but may have forgotten to photocopy section !).
