Delicious lunch, fantastic staff! Sandwiches were so decadent and tasty - exactly what we wanted - thank you!

Great food and lovely warm welcome - staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, especially the chunky chips (I ordered more!) - will be back!

5 of us went there on NY Day. The waiter said there would be a considerable wait for food as 'the boss' was having a private due in the other room. We then ordered a bottle of wine which, unfortunately, was not available. On changing our choice of wine the waiter went to check and returned to say they did not have that either. At that point we left. We have eaten here before and everything was good. The young waiter was very apologetic and we were very disappointed.

Prebooked meal for 5 in restaurant and deposit pre paid as requested. Arrived to total disorganisation. Half bar menu unavailable and ordered bottle of Malbec from wine list which then told unavailable. Told only one bottle Malbec in pub but would be more expensive. Asked for details to then be told it had gone and no other Malbec available. Shambolic experience so requested reimbursement of deposit and left!

I have never been to a pub so disorganised EVER, should have known it was not good when you walk into a pub on a Sunday lunchtime and it’s dead of customers and atmosphere. Booked in November for the Xmas fayre menu and pre ordered the day before arriving only to be told after we had eaten our mains that it was only Sunday lunch not Xmas menu. We questioned the waiter about the pigs in blankets and he said it was extra to our reply what no pigs in blankets with a Xmas meal(WTH) it’s not a Xmas meal, well that’s what I booked and have pre ordered He had no clue what was going on so I asked for the manager to be told not seen him in ages he’s a busy man. It was an absolute shambles terrible desserts Apple with smashed biscuit(crumble)in a balti dish what an absolute joke. I have never wrote a review before but please read this and don’t waste your money either stay at home or get a takeaway you will be far better off Merry Xmas

Disappointing! Christmas menu pre- booked. As a celebration crackers on the table would have been nice. Starters lovely, main okay but veg was under cooked. Sprouts were hard. Desserts odd, cheesecake with no option for cream, crumble came in balti dishes with custard served in what seemed to be small gravy boats?!

The food was poor for a Sunday lunch the meat portion was minute and we are not big eaters at all. Everything about the food seemed cost cutting and the sides were over priced. The staff were lovely ?

Lunch with friends and we all chose from the Christmas menu. We all had a mixture of starters, mains and desserts and all courses were very good, tasty and good portions, definitely value for money. Service was also excellent. Only issue is that at the end of the restaurant we were, it was not quite warm enough.

We had passed this lovely looking pub several times as we live quite locally and often thought let’s pop in. So we did, and yes it was nice we ordered two pints presented quite well then came the bill £10.75!! Over £5 per pint ? I can understand now why pubs are closing down . Needless to say I work and have a good job but I couldn’t afford to drink here, pop into Bewdley the Talbot was £7 for the same drinks !!

Beautifully presented lunch time meal, tasty and served by friendly staff. The pub itself is also aesthetically pleasing, especially with the festive decorations and the restrooms were clean. Looking forward to coming back and bringing our children too.

Not usually one for writing reviews but the food and service was excellent. There was 16 of us and the staff and kitchen dealt with it amicably. Highly recommended.

Totally underwhelming experience here.. booked for Sunday lunch and given menus, only to be told that there were no starters. How can a restaurant not have any starters?? Straight away you're thinking this isn't going to go well. No visible management on site, staff mainly made up of teenagers who although polite,do their best not to make eye contact in case they get asked to do something. Main meals came out, have to say the veg was nice but the beef was completely tasteless. This was my second visit here in a couple of months, where I had "locally sourced" sausage sandwich, which was barely cooked and totally awful.

Enjoyed a great 'light bites' lunchtime menu. Delicious home made food and exceptional value for money. We will be back soon if we are lucky enough to get a table.

We used to visit this pub regularly a few years ago, it had fantastic food and a fantastic atmosphere. Unfortunately after a change of owners, although the food was still good, we felt the pub itself had lost its way and decided we wouldn't be going back. After seeing that it was under new ownership again, and that the previous chef(s) were back in the kitchen we thought we'd give it another chance and so booked for Sunday lunch. WOW!!! We have not had a Sunday lunch of that quality anywhere, ever!! Perfect crispy roast potatoes, huge Yorkshire pudding, tasty tasty gravy and the beef!!! Perfectly cooked and so tender. We will definitely be going back. The atmosphere and staff are also brilliant! So glad to see our old regular pub starting to buzz again. Fantastic work guys, we'll see you very soon!
