They fitted us in at short notice, table for 2 friends birthday treat ,didn't go for the set menu went off the main menu, faultless lovely tasty authentic food ?

I was celebrating my 60th birthday tonight (9th December 2023). this was my choice of venue because not only is the food good, the staff are so warm and friendly, nothing is ever too much trouble. It is such a lovely restaurant, relaxing and friendly and when the lights go down to sing 'Happy Birthday' it is fabulous. I love the venue, I love the staff and I love the food, Highly recommend this restaurant you will not be disappointed. Thank you to everyone at The river Avon you made my special birthday magical xxxx

After so many good reviews we thought we would give it a try , very disappointed ( beef was tuff , chill chicken was not eatable. ) rice was lovely and staff very friendly.

This is the best Chinese restaurant that we've come across and have bought from them for over 15 years It's great that they recognize your voice on the phone and remember any extras that you usually have! Super fast service from friendly staff

I have dined at the River Avon for many years. Warm, comfortable restaurant with very friendly, helpful service. Varied menu. Food cooked very nicely and well presented. Nothing too much trouble and was pleased my order was converted to vegan friendly. Reasonably priced too.

Lovely food, service & value. Attentive but not too attentive. Went for a birthday meal and even though we hadn't mentioned it was a birthday, they must have heard us mention it, we were then surprised by a lovely chocolate cake. Will definitely return.

Best Chinese restaurant for miles. Also does takeaway service. If your going to sit in, highly recommend booking weeks in advance as very popular.

We are not local to Evesham, we were there for a weekend away. We chose River Avon based on the good reviews but were very drained in the food. I can only think that we have been spoilt by having access to excellent Chinese food in Birmingham. People around Evesham must have not tried really good Chinese if they think this place is good. The hot and sour soup was sickly sweet and gooey like a sauce. The chicken and mushroom soup was bland. My chicken chow mein was bland and sloppy. The chicken chunks were obviously the ready cooked frozen sliced chicken you can buy in the supermarket. The noodles were in a sloppy sauce that tasted nothing like chow mein it was just chicken bisto. Chicken sweet and sour Cantonese style was overly acidic and the lumps of chicken were chewy. It was very busy the night we went so i I suspect corners were cut. We were very disappointed.
