Pubs in Kempsey

“Stayed here again as we use it as a stopover place enroute to the Malvern Show. Room was good, slept well, staff friendly and helpful, food very good with a variety of things to choose from.”

“I met my old friend now living at the Lawns residential home (just up the road) for lunch at the Talbot on the recommendation of the staff at the unit . who are regular customers . I'm also disabled so car parking was perfect , A member of the care team walked down with my friend who was in his electric wheelchair .. This small moment of independence , a trip out for lunch at the pub is such boost to my old mate who , after a stroke Is dependent on the carers ..when we arrived we were treated by the landlord with the perfect balance of consideration and courtesy, offering us tables on the flat level with ample space entirely suited to our limited mobility. asking about hand pull beers, he recommended the Hobgoblin, Ruby, which , in the midlands i had never seen on pump before. A good pint and well kept.Recommended but the regulars we went for the fish and chips .Fresh fish, really thin crispy batter cooked to perfection (by the landlords wife he swears,) that would not shame the gastropub sector was just what was required. Perfect lunch for a man with only one working arm, I cut it up kirk has a fork, , end of problem ...”
