Greeted with a "did you book?" Instead of welcome or hello. Posh place but still an empty one. Plenty of choice on the menu, but not everything available, also waiter is making faces when you ask to substitute an item or two, not sure why cos he's not the one cooking. In the end we left, only 2 tables with guests on a Sunday lunch should tell you (the manager) that something is not right. From one manager to another, I won't return or recommend the place.

We were very impressed by the welcome we received in this restaurant. The service provided was excellent and the waiter was very helpful. The food was varied and very well prepared at reasonable prices. We will use this restaurant again on our return to Kidderminster.

Excellent food & service. My first visit but will be going again. Good lunchtime deal of £10 for 2 courses. I went with 6 friends & all the meals looked great as did the desserts.

Very nice interior decor. Good menu with a choice to suit most tastes, but not extensive & nothing out of the ordinary. We all enjoyed...and finished our food however those of us who had mains with accompanying veg of roast carrots & brocolli were disappointed as it was such a small portion of veg. The roast carrots were nothing like roast carrots although they tasted nice enough but the 2 brocolli florets were rock hard & inedible & cold. Also the roast potatoes were just baby new potatoes not proper roasts. Chips were lovely. Staff were polite and professional but lacked personality & came across as stiff and formal. I think they need to relax a bit and chat. I would go again though as overall it was 4 out of 5.

We’ve dined here twice now in the last six weeks and, on both occasions, we have been disappointed. We’ve been dining at the restaurant for many years, on our own and, as a family, we’ve had many family celebrations here. We always found it to be extremely reliable for the good food and service. However, something has changed. The quality and quantity of food has deteriorated. All the meals now come with a small bowl of carrots & broccoli (not very inspiring at all). My last meal was Boeuf Bourguignon which came with rice and also with a bowl of this veg which seems an odd combination. I’m sure it used to be served Dauphinois Potatoes. And, all the vegetables (a good choice), were always served by the waiters. The meal looked unappetising and was a small portion. The toast which came with my pate tasted stale. We were in a group and a few of us felt the same disappointment with our meals. Re: the set menu, I think it is naughty to charge an £8 supplement for a sirloin steak and it is also very naughty to charge an extra £1 if you opt to have either ice cream or cream with your dessert. The young waiter who served the drinks was very dour and not at all friendly, the same waiter who served us a few weeks ago and he was exactly the same then. However, the two waiters who have been there a long time, still give a good and efficient service. It appears that the restaurant is empty for a reason. The food quality has definitely depreciated.

We have dined here a number of times and have celebrated many family events at the Brassiere. We have never been disappointed. However, we dined here for Sunday lunch with two friends (who had not been before). Overall it was extremely disappointing lunch with regards to both food & service. My starter was Smoked Mackerel which came without any bread/toast and was just uninspiring. My partner had the garlic mushrooms which came in a small bowl. It was totally the wrong piece of crockery as it was almost impossible time eat with a knife & fork. We then waited an hour for our mains to arrive. Three of us had the Roast Turkey dinners and I chose the fillet of sea bass with prawns. There was one very small fillet of sea bass on my plate with the prawns and a little Kale but no potatoes. The roasts came with two roast potatoes and a ball of stuffing. Four small bowls were brought to the table with carrots and broccoli and one small bowl with about 6 new potatoes in and one small bowl of cabbage. We thought the choice and amount of veg was again uninspiring. 6 potatoes & a bowl of cabbage between four of us …… ! The two young lads who served us were just “wooden” with no personality and no smiles. I noticed that the table behind us had gravy boats taken to their table, we didn’t. All in all, we left disappointed on this visit.

Always made welcome, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Having pre- viewed on line the restaurant and more importantly the menu, on the visit the menu was different and the items excitedly pre chosen were not available. PLEASE all restaurants, keep you online menu up to date.

The whole booking was messed up from the very beginning Booked for 8 people. Duly paid the £5 each deposit. Table was set for 6, then we get told it was our fault and we changed the booking to 6 (which we did not) Our family is 8, no more, no less. Seated in the drafty entrance area. Right in front of the serving area. Ordered food and 2 bottles of wine. Mains - Steak was over cooked (both of them, one was sent back) Lamb shank was grey in colour, it had definitely NOT been slow cooked (maybe hurried because they tried to serve us Duck twice that wasn’t ordered) The guy in charge tries half way through the meal to explain why the booking had been cocked up, too little too late. The attitude of the staff leaves a lot to be desired. If you want to be in the service industry then your service needs to be so much better, rudeness and arrogance play no part. After such an awful 2020/2021 I would’ve thought there would’ve been more effort put in to please the customer. I will never eat here again and will never recommend this place to anyone.
