Great fish and chips with a big menu, lots of choice. Few parking public parking spaces outside. Usually a queue inside with no seating.

Dried out chips, fish just about passable, though smaller than we had come to expect. Very disappointing compared to previous

Hi , trouble is that most fish and chip shops , cafes etc are generally struggling in 2023 with the economy as it is.We have been using Barnard's Green Fish Bar for years. Is the chippie perfect , no but I have never had a bad meal and my only complaint is that the chip portions are to large.Chips will vary throughout the year depending on what potatoes are used. Please if you have had a bad meal phone them up and inform them you were dissatisfied with the meal.If you feel that you comments are not taken on board then take your custom elsewhere.Parking: Street parking outside the shop.

Very disorganized shop tonight.slow service and when I checked the order in the car before leaving they had forgotten part of the order. The chips were awful. Just a mush of potato stuck together. I have bought fish and chips from this shop many times and not experienced anything like this.It was Saturday 5th August. at 6.50.

Order incorrect (overpriced mushy peas somehow did a vanishing act after ordering). Service quite grumpy and no salt and vinegar on chips despite asking. Very slow wait (granted they were busy) and overpriced compared to alternatives nearby.

Never had such hard work trying to order chips.. obviously a new member of staff but come on guys train your staff and let them know to keep there attitude in check when dealing with customers at the very least! The pic shown is a large chicken and chips and you will see the lack of chicken and the chips for that matter in the pic. £8.70 for child's portions. Extremely inconsistent place.

Went to pay with a Scottish £20 note and was told that they don't accept them. Thought I'd fallen into a time vacuum and gone back 30 years. Clearly this chippy has not evolved.Get with the times guys, it's 2023!!!!!!!!

As a local customer I popped in and grabbed a cone of chips on the way back from the train station. The lady made them, added salt and vinegar, asked me to pay - and then refused to take a card payment under £5!! She pointed to hand made sign with a biro pen ‘min £5’ written under ‘we accept card payments’. Tbf I only ever spend £20 plus as I usually go for the whole family. So I was a little surprised to find in this day and age a minimum card payment. The fish is also cooked in large batches and left to dry out. I’ve been there on quite a few occasions where the fish has been a tail end and dry. I don’t understand why fish and chip shops can’t cook to order like down the coast. They clearly put profit over customer service and I shan’t be going back as there are plenty of other good chippies in Barnards green.

Nicely cooked fish and hot. pity chips were almost cold, would appear that they were standing around while fish cooked.

I have used this chip shop for as long as I can remember and it has always been amazing. However the last time I visited the service was slow and the staff unapologetic. I can cope with this if the food is good, but when we got home there was a hair in the food! Threw it away. Emailed chip shop twice and no response, hence this review.
