Excellent pub - by far the best in Malvern. The real ale, cider and lager selection is unrivalled. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. The food is also very very good. If you’re visiting the town, make sure to pop in for a pint or a bite to eat!

I am more than happy to share my thoughts on the Nags Head. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming establishment after a Malvern Hills walk with my walking group B123 Walks. The food and service were both exceptional. We were greeted with warm smiles and prompt service. The menu had a fantastic variety of options, and every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and accommodating, making sure our experience was nothing short of amazing. The Nags Head truly knows how to take care of their customers, especially after a long and tiring walk. I highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for great food, service, and atmosphere.

Bar staff were making racist and sexist comments, words I have not heard for decades! Horrible, I was going to eat here but drank up and left! Horrible bar staff, just shocking!

On the off chance I didn’t booked for Sunday lunch yesterday, as I was solo they could fit me in… around 3pm and the place was busy, thank you, the pork was moist potato’s crispy gravy full of beef flavour beautiful. I can’t fault the nags ever.

Went to collect some ale and stayed for a drink and fish and chips. Staff were very helpful and helped us out with a couple of barrels of ale as ours had not turned up. Nice pub, nice food and very doggy friendly.

Was meeting up with a friend who was going to be getting there later so I decided to eat there, opting for the Fish and Chips. Nice crispy fish atop a bed of skin-on fries, along with mushy peas (were a bit dry, but lemon juice sorted that out) - great meal. Also booked in a table later that month when having two friends down visiting. One had already eaten there several times during her visit, so know how well the meals were. This time I went for Liver and Bacon off the specials board with a side dish of plain veg - all surrounded by a great thick gravy and washed down with some of their eclectic beers. Definitely a great place to dine and drink, and I've never had any issues with bringing friends there to eat.

We enjoyed an excellent meal at The Nag's Head at very reasonable cost. Although the pub was busy, the restaurant section was not overcrowded but was very comfortable. Great venue, staff were absolutely amazing and super friendly. The doorman was soooooo funny and welcoming, made sure we could get a table outside even though it was busy. Couldn’t rate it enough.

Eclectic range of internal fixtures in this cosy pub. Adjacent to our table was a former Third Station now converted into a wall mirror, which certainly amused the two retired vicars in our group. Elsewhere the walls and furniture indicate more ecclesiastical recycling. But to the food: Hearty pub grub - the gammon and eggs was so large I only just finished it - and the desert board later had numerous good-value items. Pretty outdoor seating areas but sadly not an option as we encountered pouring rain.

We went here for dinner with friends and family, 7 of us altogether. The food was delicious, all served hot and simultaneously. The restaurant staff were polite, efficient and friendly. There were great ale choices and good wine. The bar staff were also polite, efficient and friendly. We had a lovely meal and experience in the restaurant but unfortunately as we went to sit outside the doorman ruined our experience to say the least. We sat in the restaurant until around 8.30 ish and then chose to move outside for another drink and conversation. As we were walking out, the doorman stood in the doorway with his arms folded, looking very serious and unwelcoming, I smiled and said hello hoping to brighten his life and his response was to glare at me without changing his expression or pose and with a hostile lack of acknowledgement. Once outside, the seating area was quite busy and the layout of the available seats were benches side by side, and as a result it was a challenge to talk to each other anyway, and this issue was compounded by one hard of hearing person, one physically disabled person and 2 elderly people. I decided to go and ask the staff inside if I could bring a couple of stools outside to improve our experience which they agreed was completely fine. However, along comes angry doorman again who accosted with unnecessary abruptness to tell me I was not allowed these stools outside. I explained our situation with disabled and elderly people to which he said, "I don't care, you're not having indoor stools outside". I explained that the staff inside had said it was OK, and his response was, "well they're not in charge, I am!" Then he whipped the stools out of my hands, again with unnecessary hostility. I was stunned by his behaviour as well as his lack of consideration or compassion for those with physical challenges in our group. However, I rejoined my party and continued to enjoy my evening. Later, the doorman overheard me use a swear word in my private conversation, (with no aggression whatsoever I must add), and he lent across the table pointing his finger at me saying, "No swearing!". This came across in a very aggressive and confrontational manner, to which once again I was entirely stunned to be on the receiving end of. I asked what he meant and he pointed to a sign on the wall which stated a rule of 'no swearing which will be enforced'. I hadn't seen this sign and I didn't realise we lived in an oppressive society of dictatorship and a lack of freedom of speech. I wasn't speaking loudly, the only reason he heard me was because he was collecting glasses from our table. We left very shortly after this with me feeling very aggrieved by his attempt to intimidate me with his unnecessary aggressive manner. If it wasn't for the doorman with his clear and undeniable personal issues which he uses his place of work to perpetuate onto others, we would have rated this pub a 5, but based on him alone, I would rate it a 0 if possible, so we have opted for a 2 to be as fair to the pub as we can overall. However, we will NEVER be returning because nobody wants to be persecuted, insulted and bullied anywhere in life, but especially not when you are trying to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family. We are repectable and respectful people, who were quietly trying to enjoy pleasant conversation, we were all in dismay to have our experience ruined by one member of staff. BEWARE OF THE DOORMAN, and only visit this pub if you are happy to abide by the strict rules that I have never encountered in ANY public house in my entire life.

What a lovely pub! Came for lunch whilst in Malvern for a couple of nights away. Service was great, staff were very friendly and the place has a really lovely, warm feel to it. We both had the fish ciabatta with chips and salad from the lunch menu- food was beautiful, all fresh and homemade. Service was quick. Compliments to the chefs and staff at front of house. Thank you!

I have been coming to eat here on & off for years, it a comfortable, friendly place where I don't feel out of place & that never changes. On my last two visits I have been disappointed with the vegan food for the reason that I don't like pretend meat/cheese & would much rather see things like polenta, quinoa, chickpeas, lentils & tree nuts used in the dishes.
