Absolutely without doubt the worst meal I have ever been served ordered special fried rice which was a reheated in the microwave oily mush of rice and some sort of dried out meat that resembled dog chews I find it hard to believe that this place can survive serving this sort of food.

Called in for an evening meal with my wife which was a big mistake I ordered a special fried rice which appeared within 5 minutes and had obviously been reheated in a microwave the meat was so dry and tough it was more suitable to be sold as dog chews and the rice was oily and tasteless my wife faired slightly better with the duck curry but even that was a very uninspiring relatively tasteless microwaved bowl of disappointment

Very warm & friendly greeting, first time here as new to area, recommended by our neighbours. Food was excellent and definitely will return again soon!!Pub was relatively quiet hence 4* rating but good selection of draught beers / ales, again, will be back to try more.

Once again the star delivers top quality food. Not your average Chinese restaurant, the food here is top notch. I recommend the honey cream prawns & Singapore chow mein. These two along with an egg fried rice go down well. The spicy crispy shredded beef is also very good dish to add. Great staff, great food & nice beer.

The outside doesn't do this place justice but once you get inside, it's a quirky mix of pub/chinese with a well stocked bar and extensive menu. Estrella was beautiful.The quality of the food was especially good with plenty of choice for all palates, including vegetarians - a huge menu!I would have like (1) information on Gluten Free meals and (2) Tofu options.The chap serving us was polite enough but not really friendly...5 STARS based on everyone in our party of 8 being very happy with their meal.

We have had takeaway food from The Star several times over a number of years and it has always been good. Tonight we had food that was barely edible. Vegatable spring rolls that were undercooked, beef in black bean sauce which neither of us could eat. The sauce was very thick and sticky, the beef was not good quality and everything was over seasoned. We won't be going back.

Booked a table last week for 10 of us for a friends birthday. Excellent service, super helpful, friendly and speedy. Food was fantastic, everyone enjoyed everything! It was ordered promptly and came out super fast! Everything was correct (which can be a challenge with a table so big without a pre order) we brought a cake with us which they happily brought out at the end of our meal, even played a birthday song in the speaker for us which was a bonus. 10/10 experience. Would100% recommend, great menu and reasonable prices. Thank you guys, we had a brill time!!
